Are PS3 games the best in art style and direction in this gen ? It seems so ...

Sony's games are more varied period... not just in art style & direction but in gameplay, concepts, design, etc...

360 does have some standout titles but yes, for the most part, most of them look and feel pretty similar. This is the same drawback that the original xbox faced. Lost Odessey is the most impressive to me so far as an attempt to be something distinctive. Blue Dragon & Eternal Sonata are also pretty distinct.... but not in a good way, they don't seem very appealing.

I was pretty disappointed to see Bioware making a game that just blends on in with the rest of the Microsoft library... they are one of my favorite devs. I think the game will still be pretty decent though...

If you see mountains and valleys mixed with cliffs... It's a PS3 game... Thats all you ever see.

Guess its because PS3 can't render more then that and look good. FNR3 makes me sick looking at 2D pixelation.

I like to see the future too, but i found out a new game, like an expansion to Oblivion that i would buy anyway with a new 360, that adds more monsters, weapons etc, so Shivering Isles + Lost Odyssey + Blue Dragon + Eternal Sonata + Halo 3 + Bioshock + Mass Effect make 360 far better so far, even if the art n some games are very Gears like, hopefully i will have enough money by this year's end to get a PS3 and Heavely Sword too, i really want this game too

I just saw Heavenly Sword new pics+video, the art is amazing, i can't recall seeing anything like it on 360, same goes for FF13, that art style in forest video was amazing, and again the art in White Knight is over ANY 360 game i have seen to date, better than oblivion IMO too

Can you point any 360 game that does not look a bit like Gear a bit ? Even Mass Effect has many browns and dark mood, it just feels to have mediocre art style, same goes in a lesser extend for Bioshock

So, does 360 have anything to match the art styles in Heavenly Sword, Lair, White Knight and FF13 ?

Well yes it is, the flying sequence is amazing, but Shivering Isles is more my style of game
