If he's a PC gamer, he is used to less jaggies and better graphics, and might be picky on the smaller details that you would overlook. For him, a console that plays 95% of the multiplats better would be the better choice. Assuming he can't buy both consoles.

Totally depends on the game. All in all the multiplats that run better/the same on each console are about even in number.

sorry, but saying that won't make it true. the majority of multiplats are better on the 360, and that's a fact.

Taken from your own link.

"A damning victory for the Xbox 360. That said, after the first wave of games, the differences tend to be minute and have absolutely no effect on gameplay and the best-looking PS3 exclusives (we'll ignore Haze), in my opinion, look better than the best-looking 360 exclusives."

He even states that he infers winners from DF articles that don't declare one, meaning the list isn't even accurate.

There are noticeable differerences in some of the earlier titles released this gen but for the most part the versions remain largely the same. Yes the 360 may be technically superior but unless you're posting on internet forums and scrutinizing side by side screenshots you'll never notice. Some of the same titles I owned on my old 360, I now own on my PS3 and I still can't tell a difference.

For a pc gamer we noticed more things. But in most cases the 360 is slightly better. But usually its not huge. But going for pc to consoles pc looks so crisp

for the most part yes they are inferior. this is displayed in games like Crysis 2, RE5, COD, BF bad company, castlevania LOS, and very apparent in Bayonetta where some scenes were actually deleted because the ps3 couldn't handle what was going on onscreen. it boils down to Xenos>RSX also unified memory>slit memory, without these bottlenecks the ps3 would win easily as the only advantage it has is the theoretical power of the almighty cell.

unless your comparing them screenshot by screenshot, the differences for majority of multiplatform games are minimal at best.

It depends on the game.

FFXIII is better on PS3

Bayonetta is better on 360

Red Dead Redemption is better on PS3

Fallout 3 is better on 360

ShadowMoses900

But by "better" I don't understand. Because I honestly can't tell if one is "better" than the other like people are saying. Hell like alot of people say Red Dead Redemption is "better" on 360, but your saying it's "better" on PS3. Which makes me wonder if I'm not the only person who can't really tell a difference between them.

So in what way are they "better"?

ppl cant tell the difference..they just go by what these 'legit sources' say and than use that to reign supreme in system wars.

really depends on the game and multiplatform development strategy, developers handle this differently like Platinum Games explained why Bayonetta performed better on the Xbox 360 than PS3, they say because they optimized it for Xbox 360 first and couldn't get the PS3 version to run as well, in Vanquish it was the other way around, once they got it running spectacularly on the PS3 it was no problem matching that performance on the Xbox 360, not all developers are equal though like BioWare did a horrible job porting Dragon Age to the Xbox 360, some companies like Visceral do excellent jobs making multiplatform games equal on both consoles, like they did for the Dead Space games, just really depends on the developerlamprey263
On Bayonetta, PS3 doesn't have 3DC+ hardware feature.
