@FireEmblem_Man: Awesome! I got my snack. Go!
Well, it all started in Middle School when I was once a huge Nintendo Fan, I always have felt that owning a PS1 was stupid and an anti-social console compared to the N64 with its Multiplayer goodness and better graphics at its time. My friends and I enjoyed playing hours of Super Smash Bros. 64 every weekend. When in my final days of 8th grade, my friends and I would start talking about "Dolphin" and how it will destroy Sony. Then in my Freshman year of High School, I still had dialed up internet btw, I got a Gamecube and then got Super Smash Bros. Melee. My friends and I managed to get almost every character until we got a new and unknown challenger. Marth was that character and I never heard of him until I looked up his trophy profile. I never heard of Fire Emblem and with the slow internet, downloading Roms and Emulators was the talk of my Lunch Period table as I sat with a bunch of nerds that were obsessed with Anime (Notably Dragon Ball Z) and video games. So, despite my slow internet, I was able to download NES emulators and found Fire Emblem games available.
Despite me not knowing Japanese I tried them out and I was hooked. A couple years later I finally got Broadband and discovered patching Roms with fan translation and got a SNES emulator with Fire Emblem 4: Geneology. Then I discovered Gamespot.com at the time Reggie was hired as a new PR for Nintendo and unvealed the greatest handheld of all time, the DS, and then Iwata gave hints about project "Revolution," which became the Wii.
I wanted to be different than other System Wars users and came up with the name FireEmblem_Man because I felt that not everyone at the board ever played the game so I felt cool about it! I was also at my stage of liking Anime despite me only being a fan of DBZ, Yu Yu Hakusho, Naruto, and Bleach. I felt like I wasn't really into Japanese Culture when I grew older. I hated Microsoft because they wanted to destroy Nintendo at the time, but it wasn't until I got an Xbox 360 and Dead or Alive 4 for the first time. I thought I liked JRPG games more, but I was more hooked with Oblivion, Fallout, The Witcher, and Dragon Age. Yes, I can change my name or make an alternative as I'm now known as A_Regular_Guy on another Forum (ask @jg4xchamp). I don't feel like losing this name as I'm attached to it.
