Let's face it.. gamespot isn't the most credible souce out there. So do you come back because you still believe in their reviews? or because you enjoy debating on the forums?

I use to like the reviews but not anymore... and the new scoring system sucks IMO. I come here for the forums and thats it.
its the only reason i come to gamespot anymore, there reviews are so bogus if they even do them. i think they dropped the ball to many times especially with Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, and Mass Effect (from what I hear). its all about the forums.

I'm relatively new to RPG gaming, but for me, 8.5 seemed right for Mass Effect. It was great, just had some minor problems. however I do believe the rating system is flawed and the reviews are ... questionable at best. I'll never trust the reviews here again.

Agreed for R+C but I disagree with you on Halo 3. Consider the Gamerankings average score is 93% and when rounded up that is 95% on gamespots system. They were almost spot on.

to me halo was a 8.5-9.0, r&c should have been a 9
Absolutely, the forums are the only reason I come back. Jeff was the life blood of this site, now this site is just rotting from the inside out, like some advanced form of gangrene.

I agree that GS has lost alof of credability, They just seem to get worse at writing reviews, might be because all it needs to be a game reviewer is just to have a High School Diploma, and maybe not even that. Thats not to say that the people on GS don't have college degrees but really you don't need much to be a reviewer.... Anyways, The only reason why I keep coming back to these forums is because so far its the only gamming site that has the most active forum on the internet, if IGN had this much people on it I'd be over there, but sadly people keep coming here which brings me here....
Yeah. With the crappy new review system, and the very questionable firing of Jeff, and now almost all the highly anticipated ganes getting the high scores, i don't care what GS "thinks" about games any more.
It's a shame too. GS used to do so well. I'm always ready to read a GS review for a ps1 or n64 game
I hardly read GS reviews anymore after the scoring system changed, their credibility was questioned and lot of good reviewers quit. I don't really watch On The Spot anymore either. So yeah, it's about forums for me these days.
yea just the forums, Im new to forums, and Im liking it, I never knew of such console wars before, its entertaining, its funny how some people could hate the other console with passion, I dont get it but its funny lol, as for the gamespots reviews for a game, its mostly opposite with my oppinion, I dunno
I don't use reviews to base my game purchases anymore (not that I ever did in the first place :?). If I want to know whether I'm buying crap or not, I use impressions rather than reviews.
