Nope.  Ps4 will breath new life into the industry and there's no hype for the next Xbox at all, can't be overhyped if there's no hype there.

I think the important part is that it will hopefully bring about some much needed change. Besides, this generation has lasted long enough

Killzone: SF @ 30 FPS =

Very much overhyped, but I'm sure it'll please the plebs, because they don't know any better.

And most gaming rigs were running Crysis 3 on max settings with close to 60FPS...

It's funny because when herms get into an argument about the ps4's graphics they always post photos of games (like crysis 3) on ultra settings running on an expensive high end computer. And not their own rigs.

Okay, fine, I'll post a pick of Crysis 3 on low-mid settings on my $340 low-end computer. I run the game in 1600x900 with a custom config which uses low-mid graphic settings. I get around 40-50FPS most of the time. Now let's look at KZ:SF: 1080p instead of 900p, so 1 point for the PS4 30FPS instead of 40-50, 1 point for PC Slightly better graphics (sharper textures and shadows) in KZ:SF, another point for the PS4 $340 for my low-end PC, $400+ rumored for the PS4, another point for PC. Results: 2 points for PC, 2 points for the PS4 (in this regard). So really, you don't need an expensive PC and you don't need ULTRA graphic settings to get a similar experience than PS4 gaming.

next gen consoles will be equal to PC for a couple months  tops, then after 1 year you will be able to buy a better PC at half the price of a "next gen" ( lol ) console

AM-Gamer

buy a pc of equal performance for half the price?  Please STFU and GTFO.

Buy a PS4 that can do all the things a PC can, the price comparison of consoles and PC is really apples to oranges.

Looking at PS4 specs, the jump will be as big as in any previous gen (10+ times the power compared to 360 and PS3). It won't be as obvious as before, for some, since most improvements will be in small details (particles, animations,  interaction with the environment, world size, etc).

I think their capabilities have been blown out of proportion. As for PC versions of the games, I want developers to fully utilize PC hardware ( cpus with plenty of cores, powerful gpus, and up to 32GB of ram, 64 with intel, I think, and add a blu-ray drive to part of PC standards PLEASE, we need a higher capacity optical disc) that they had to ignore for 8 years because the priority was to make the game work on weak console hardware first, and PC was a port. I want a return to picking up my PC games in a physical store I don't want a STEAM or Origin or even a Uplay logo on it. I don't care for always online digital distribution/steam drm, but it should be optional going forward. The least they could do is offer the choice to people like me who would buy it with simplified offline drm, like an install code that is inside the blu-ray case. If CD Projekt Red can release drm free, the minimum these big publishers can do is offer me what I'm asking, I like going to the store and buying games, patching them myself, making my own backups, I don't like and never will like the notion of depending on some third party to manage the games I buy.
