Are the XBOX 360 problems fixed now? Thinking of getting an Elite ....

Yes, they have no idea what they're talking about. You had a few people saying they had friends who had the RROD. I'm a *cow* and my friend had the RROD on *her* 360. If you want reliability, you stick with a PS3. No system is worth the headache if it's bent on breaking on you. I wanted to get a 360 but I don't trust MS when it comes to hardware. The TC can make his own decision, he doesn't have to listen to us *cows* and *lemmings*

I'd like to get a 360 but the rumors still scare me off. I honestly think the 360 would sell even more if people like myself werent nervous to drop 400 bucks and worry about it messing up. Is it safe to buy now? JDW_games

ummm the 'no games' line is appropiatly used in my post thankyou very much. Hes basically given us two options he buys a 360 or he doesnt and if doesnt he will be left with playing no games. Never did i say that the other consoles have no games, i simply said that if he doesnt buy console he doesnt get the games.

Also the warranty spans three years so even if the console did break after six months, he gets to play for another three years after that.

I knew someone would think I was making that up :evil:, but seriously its the truth and he knows about his warranty...so its all good.

But hes only had his for a month so Im pretty sure its still under the standarded warranty.

On topic: Do your research and seriously, don't listen to anybody here. If you don't have an issue with MS's shaky reliablity, go for it, if not, there's always the PS3 if you don't have one.

lol, same game? Yes, it's marred by the same premises of the game that is called golf. What are you expecting? Your opponent could shoot your ball out of the air before landing on the fairway? It's still a "simulation" of the real game called golf. Now with online, advance shot controls, and a nice graphical update what were you actually looking for them to change from previous installments?

Yes it still has problems. Sad thing is my launch Xbox 360 lasted for 2 years. My Halo Edition 360 lasted 2 months.

I get angry as hell about it but I still love playing it.

it's still just a youtube video. if you don't have a link from a credible site you can't prove that that's a major hardware problem with the falcon consoles.

lol, i'm a cheapskate. Even if there is a chance of failure, 150 pounds (about 300 dollars) is alot better than 280 pounds (around 560 dollars) for the ps3. I checked on amazon.co.uk for pc's, and a half decent one would be about 340 pounds (around 680 dollars). The pc i already have isn't good enough to run any new games.

So thats why i need the 360. (i'm not after the wii by the way, just no to that :P)

When the 3 year warranty is up then the 360 should be alot cheaper by then than what it is now. I'd say you don't have to worry.

I just love how the obvious tends to get past some people. I wasn't commenting on the actual golf sim, especially since I said it was a great game...:|

What I am talking about is Hot Shots Golf on the PS3 is practically the exact same game that is on the PS2, hell even the PSP.

Don't take my word for it GO PLAY THE GAMES. You will see there is very little difference from the PS2 version of Hot Shots released in 2002 and this new PS3 version. I am a big fan of the Hot Shots Golf games and I love this one, but I am severely disappointed that they did not push it to the next level aside from a slight graphical upgrade. And once again it's another PS3 online game with no voicechat.
