This. The game is absolutely amazing. Can't say it's completely flawless though, but they're rather hard to nitpick.Red Dead Redemption.
DeadMan1290
I don't view any game as flawless. SMG 2 has camera issues, MGS 4 has some control issues, muddy textures, and incredibly long cutscenes, and GTA 4 is less impressive to me personally than San Andreas. Just my opinion though.
It's not too hard to find fault with pretty much every game listed in this thread, like for example...
Dark Souls - high difficulty
Final Fantasy IX - plot and gameplay lack depth
Super Mario Galaxy 2 - lacks HD graphics
GTA Vice City - bad graphics and outdated
Tetris & Pong - simplistic and repetitive
Resident Evil 4 - no walk-and-shoot
StarCraft - outdated
Psychonuats & Braid - too simplistic
Metal Gear Solid 3 - slow loading and shallow villains (besides The Boss)
Jag85
All those things I've highlighted in red, are not flaws. You are a moron.
[QUOTE="Bread_or_Decide"]The camera in SMG2 keeps it from being flawless. Why stop with the camera? Besides having to occasionally fight the camera, SMG also suffers from slight controller lag and every single inch of ground feels like it's slippery from rain.
It's also flawed in the sense that it has a story where none was supposed to be and it's completely detrimental to the game, as a consequence.
[QUOTE="Badosh"][QUOTE="siLVURcross"] I love FF9 and all, but, Necron.siLVURcrossWhat's wrong with Necron, besides his randomness? Well, that was it, his randomness. Wish he was just explained, bothers me slightly. He's not really explained but he "fits" thematically. He's pretty much the antithesis of the main theme of the game. He's still poorly done though, I think he would be an alright final boss if there was more explanation or any prior mention. The fact the ending actually does a good job of wrapping up the game made up for the weird final boss though, FF endings are usually so weak. That said I think Chrono Trigger. For what it is it's perfect. I may prefer Cross (Art, music, gameplay and world I felt were better done but the plot goes to hell for the last quarter which is why I won't call it perfect). But for a SNES RPG I think CT is the best it could possibly be, it has a great plot, characters, music and setting and remains quality throughout the game.
i agree with Tetris - also some 80s arcade games were pretty neat -Asteroids springs to mind - nothing really wrong with it.
Dont really agree with the Blighttown argument re Dark Souls. A bit of framerate lag is not really a flaw in my opinion - its more of a hardware issue.

That's still a flaw, and on the road this thread is veering down, everything is.
Blighttowns issues aren't just frame drops. It's fairly poorly designed and on the lower levels the darkness obscures enemies that can cause plague. It goes from being a pretty fair but difficult game to being fairly cheap in this one area. Also framerate drops to that degree (going from 30ish to 10 or less) is a fairly notable flaw when it's in a rather large, important area.i agree with Tetris - also some 80s arcade games were pretty neat -Asteroids springs to mind - nothing really wrong with it.

Uncharted 2 and Batman Arkham games, those games I really can't think of any flaws unless I nit pick.
Also I still think Sonic 2 is flawless along with Mario Bros 3, there is literally nothing bad I can say about those games.
If you had asked this in October 2009, my answer would have been Uncharted 2, but months after release, the multiplayer was tweaked with lower health, increased weapon damage, and somehow worsened lag, the multiplayer became much worse. It used to be balanced with little lag, then it became unbalanced, I see you first crap.
Now, it would probably have to be......I can't think of any

That is not proof, it is just a reflection of someone's opinion. A good proof would be a video which PROVES how the camera would lead to death. I think anyone who has played the game can attest to this I don't need to prove it. Heck camera issues have always been the tiny flaw of every great 3D mario game. Shrug. But the guy above there is right, the lame rehashed story is a flaw and any slight flaw counts. So SMG2 cannot be called flawless.I'll not talk about any "pure game" like testris, pong, pacman, etc. since those are pretty much flawless by itself (too little game mechanics to be not perfect). But here goes:
-For RTS:
Starcraft I: extremely well balanced RTS game, can't find any bad thing about that game.
Red Alert 2: not as well-balanced but pure awesomeness.
-Action/adventure: this is my main genre so there're many good games that I can think of but i'll just list the best 2.
Ninja Gaiden Black: The definition of how devs should push a system. No flaw whatsoever.
Monster hunter freedom unite: just incredible when you get into it. The lack of the story is not a flaw since it's not nesessary for the game structure. Get the most content out of all retail MH title, graphics is awesome on the PSP at its time. I've spent nearly 1000 hours on it.
Uncharted 2: want an cinematic interacting game? This is the best I can think of.
-RPG: none i can think of, maybe Diablo 2 or mass effect 1 (not 2/3) and definitely not a Bethesda game since most of them are filled with bugs & technical issues.
-Shooter: CS, yup.
-Platform: mario & crash bantidoot.
Those may not be the best score wise & many people will find problems with them, but IMO those are flawless, they just do the best for what they mean to do.
MGS4 or 3
Half Life
Tetris
Pong
Contra 3
Command and Conquer Tiberium Sun
Homeworld
Ninja Gaiden Sigma
God of War 2
Uncharted 2
Deus Ex
Devil May Cry 3
Sonic the hedgehog 2
Crash Bandicot
Rygar
Star Wars: X-Wing Alliance
Total Air War
COD4
FF8
Goldeneye N64
Super Mario World - Everyone seems to forget about sunshine and the Retro Mario games
You get 10 points if you played all of them.

Slippery and control lag: False with no proof to back it up. Story: LOL :lol:No. Not even the best game of all time, Majora's Mask, is flawless. The save system leaves alot to be desired. Aside from that it's pretty much perfect.
I dont know about flawless but there are some games that i would describe as near perfect, or at least as good as they could have been.
Splinter Cell Chaso THeory
Uncharted 2
Half Life 2
Hitman Blood Money
Journey
Mariokart 64
Assassins Creed 2
San Andreas
Oblivion
007 Everything Or Nothing
Deus Ex Human Revoltion
Batman Arkham Asylum
Bioshock
The MGS series.
Shadow of the Colossus.
Bastion.
Nothing needs to be changed in these games, what they express and how they do it is flawless.
No. Not even the best game of all time, Majora's Mask, is flawless. The save system leaves alot to be desired. Aside from that it's pretty much perfect.

I would agree with you except on one thing, the controller. I'm sorry but the N64 controller did not age well, it's very difficult and awkward to use by today's standards. But I do agree that Majora's Mask was almost flawless, it was also a pretty scary game IMO. It seriously had some disturbing and creepy stuff.

Majora's Mask is amazing indeed. Probably my second favorite Zelda game after OoT. I also agree that the N64 controller aged poorly, but thankfully you can play the game on gamecube and Wii.

That's why I love it. For an E rated game that game was dark as hell... even for some M rated games it was extremely dark.
Also I play it on my copy of Zelda Collector's Edition on GC, and I like the GC controller... but i agree, the N64 controller has aged poorly. seriously, did Ninty expect people to play with two hands and their wang?
Arkham City - Open world, good combat, good stealth, good platforming, puzzles, good story, good characters, good voice actors, good graphics, very polished.
Vanquish-Polished, best mechanics of its genre, good graphics, best shooter overall this gen.
Metal Gear Solid 4- Very polished, good cinematics, stealth and shooter mechanics.
Uncharted 2 and 3- great cinematics, great graphics, good platforming and shooting, very polished.

I don't have the collectors edition or whatever it's called. Mabey it's on Wii Network? I don't check it out very much, I don't use my Wii online much except for Mario Kart, usually I use it for Zelda and Brawl and other 1st party Nintendo games.
I'm not anti Nintendo, I love them, I just don't really like the direction they went with their systems, I don't have a problem with motion control but the lack of power and HD is what got me upset. I wanted this HUGE HD Zelda game, but it wouldn't be possible on Wii.
Oh well hopefully the WII U will be able to do that, I will probably end up getting one no matter what. You can't beat Nintendo's first party.

Yeah I hear you. I don't like some of their design chocies this gen but their first party rocks.
Also MM is on the Virtual Console.
And a huge Zelda game is possible on Wii... xenoblade is massive. :P Just sayin. the graphics wouldn't be all that great but I wouldn't mind that if they made a Zelda as big as XB.

You are preaching to the choir ;). Did you play Skyward Sword, and what did you think?
Hard to tell.
My pick would probably be Sly 2/3. I loved the characters, dialogue, gameplay, and basically everything. Uncharted series come in a close second. But there are a lot of games that I need to pick like Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, SMG2, etc. that will probably make it up there.
But none of these games are 'flawless'.

I have Skyward Sword and I thought it was great! But it wasn't the best Zelda like I thought it was going to be. It's a really good game though, I didn't like the GS review of it. IMO it deserved at least an 8.5 or a 9. My only real complaint with it is I thought it was easier than other Zelda games in the past.
I am currently playing Hero Mode now which is frustrating. I didn't know enemies didn't drop hearts! And they do way more damage now! My friend says when you get the Master Sword again though you don't have to charge for the Skyward Strike. I'm hoping he is telling the truth.
The main game I thought was too easy, but Hero Mode I think is too hard lol.

hahah. I have not tried Here mode yet, and I agree with what you said, except I have more complaints, and I would be shocked if you didn't too since you dont think it is a 9.5 or so :P. I think its a great game, but a bit of a letdown in ways and probably the worst 3D Zelda (IN MY OPINION ;)). I say it is an 8.5. But I can see why someone would rate it a bit higher, as it just was not exactly what I was hoping for from a Zelda game. I still think OoT and MM are the best, but WW is close.
