Nothing.
The Wii has mass market appeal. The 360 has superior games, superior online, and superior graphics. The only other thing they can do is provide Wi-fi and fix the issues with the hardware, but even then that wouldn't do much to make it appeal to the mass market.
We're comparing a Ferrari to a Prius.
PS3 will come in last. I have no doubts about that. As for the 360 and the Wii, its tough to say and it ultimatley depends on who gets the better games. Imo the Wii fad will begin to fade, and the 360 will finish first.jbz7890
Haha. Fad fad fad. :/
I think its sales numbers are WAY too big to be calling it a 'fad'.
last thread got all ruined and stuff so here this is. >_>CaseyWegner
I dont understand... why did u change it? I gotta ask. Do u still compare PC sales to console cause I gotta know if u do and if u do how on earth can u do such a thing?
Also i think the Wii will slow down and the PS3 will rise and win this gen but not by much. People seem to know little of business really with how fast they think winners are official here. Wii is far from winning anything right now.

When it comes to software like accessories and games and XBOX live gold memberships the 360 is making way more than Nintendo overall.
You cant deny when it comes to best overall system XBOX is in first and whatever you say comes in second is actually a far distant second. 360 is the only systme that has a good list of exclusives and multiplats so far this gen.

i'm talking about userbase.
I think Blu-ray will win people over and the hundred some million people that bought a PS2 will migrate over to PS3 in great enough numbers to dominate the market again. When this wll happen exactly is hard to pin down.JiveT
you are absolutely right. the 360 will be over with sooner or later.

last thread got all ruined and stuff so here this is. >_>CaseyWegner*ruffles Casey's hair* There there, Casey. There there. :P I don't think the 360 has what it takes to overtake the PS3, much less the Wii. The 360 is a non-factor in Japan and Europe is consistantly moving towards the PS3 camp, leaving the 360 with America and America alone. Now yeah, America is a huge market, but enough to counteract the rest of the world? I don't think so. 1. Wii 2. PS3 3. 360

It is a fad.
People who don't play a lot of games buy it, play Wii sports a bit, buy a few games, and then it collects dust until the next time they need to wait 10 minutes before leaving for a party. Last year it was "Do you have a Wii? Can I come over?!!" and "I'm getting a Wii!". Now nobody talks about it.
it will be first in sales. i bought one so i guess im no longer a lemming but really their 2 different categories. 360 is a console you get to hang out with friends online and play in hd while wii you get to play the 3 or 4 good games then ebay off for twice the price you bought it for.

i changed it because i didn't want it to be a "does the pc count" thread. tracking sales of high performance video cards seems to have worked well in the past.

The ability of the PS3 to play Blu-ray movies is it's single greatest feature. The games are a distant second because the 360 will always have an edge when it comes to the library. As HDTV adoption rates continue to soar the desire for people to watch Blu-ray (having Disney on lock is huge) material will go up along with it. Oh and it plays games too why not? No other console can do that this generation.
I still don't like the PS3 and prefer the 360 I just agree with the analysts that say PS3 will ultimately triumph.

Video Cards
Question then.
Well sales of video cards I assume are only for gaming PC's as count others would be laugable a.
Also does only one company make these video cards? Also do different companies make one for PC's then consoles.

Yes I do know this just trying to make a point. Ur now comparing various different companies to one console company each? That makes sense how?
On top of that ur talking about video cards, well dont similar or the same rather, companies make these cards for both systems?
My point is when u argue these kinds of things its like a game
Like the yankees vs. the red sox. Or if a race bring in some more teams to take place of MS Sony etc...
But ur talking about a match between the Leafs vs. the entire NHL, AHL European elite leagues, OHL etc... How is that any kind of ownage? What's the point in that? If there was this one company called PC that sold specific gaming rigs and sold $30 Mill of them since 2005 then that's different. Or for ur argument the ONE company made Cards

Only problem with that is video cards are just a upgrade. It would be kinda like counting the new controller for PS3 even though they just wanted to upgrade the rumble. A person could go through a few video cards through out a console generation. That does not mean that many PCs were sold. My comp is not the best but I do play PC games and I have had my PC for a couple years now so if I bought a video card it would not be the same as if someone bought a 360. Either way though I will leave it alone now.[QUOTE="CaseyWegner"][QUOTE="Sir-Marwin105"][QUOTE="CaseyWegner"][QUOTE="Sir-Marwin105"]Casey, you're not playing Mass Effect. :?Sir-Marwin105

o_o That's very silly. I know MANY MANY people who don't have Wiis and are still all over it. I know people that are casuals that play their Wii more often than I do sometimes.
I still just see the term 'fad' being used by people ashamed of their own console. But whatever. ;/

it's system wars...not company wars. the pc counts as one system.
