Are you a fan of Overwatch?

I like the game, but I know people who play it excessively and I really don't get the infatuation. To me, it just seems like it lacks content. After a few games, I get bored. What about you, SW? Are you a fan?

When it first came out, i want to go tryhard in that game. But DkS3 kept me away. Its probably the only activision game i don't despise.

It's okay gameplay wise and I love the characters but it does get boring for me after a while. I don't get the addiction either.

Not really my kind of game but I will say that my Anime friends are all in love with Tracer and the rest of the females so that's saying something and glad the Anime crowd is enjoying Overwatch.

I like Overwatch. I didn't think it was Game of the Year worthy, but I do like Overwatch.

Overwatch is easily GOTY of 2016. People are addicted due to the fun factor. It's the same reason why Team Fortress 2 is still one of the most played games on Steam to this day. Just stupid fun. However, I'm finally becoming bored of it. Seems like everytime I fire up the game I'm playing 1 of 3 maps which I despise.

Never played it, but it looks fun.

looks like a cool game. i like the strategy and stuff.

but i'd rather just fire up splatoon on switch for my shooter fix.

I like Overwatch quite a lot. It's just great fun. The ability to switch characters on the fly mid-match makes everything feel fair.

Win or lose I have fun playing those eccentric characters.

Very addictive game. Possibly my favorite MP shooter of all time.

Yeah, easily one of the best games this gen. I've got 200 hours in it, and it's still so fun.

I've enjoyed my limited time with it but from a bird's eye view it's strategically weak and lacking in the e-sports department which is something I greatly care about. Eventually I'm going to set aside a block of time and push for the highest rank I can get before stagnation kicks in.

Only as waifu and shipping material, as a game it's only mildly entertaining and I'm not really a fan.

I play every now and then since I got it on sale but it's certainly not something I go out of my way to play a ton of or play regularly.

Its a lot of fun and i enjoy it quite a bit. Doesnt quite top Halo or Counter Strike in their prime though

I like Splatoon more. I rate them Splatoon, Overwatch, then Heroes of the Storm.

Yeah, it's alot of fun. Better than TF2 was. There's a nice variety of characters and playing for skins is fun. Also, there's some extra modes in arcade room.

It's probably the best game since Dark Souls where I'd want to be as far away from from being apart its fanbase as much as possible.

I'm not a huge fan, but it's fun with friends for 1-2 hour bites. Probably will play it more when they release new game modes and maps. The maps are really getting stale.

Yeah, it's fun. I got it near launch and I still play it. It's a game that's easy to just jump into for a short while.

Yes, I really like it.

For me the replay value doesn't come from the content (or lack thereof). It's the core game-loop itself that is engaging. Like many only games, a single match can play out in a number of different ways but generally matches can be boiled down to wins and losses. Those losses are what provide a perpetuating challenge while the wins are a constant prize of satisfaction.

Similar to the appeal of board games, competitive video games don't need new content to stay fresh.

Played it for a while, then stopped playing it all together. Its a decent game, but nothing compared to team fortress 2.

Played for 20 minutes or so.

Uninstalled shortly after. I am simply not much of a Multiplayer guy.

Edit: That said, I have no issues with the game being the 2016 GOTY. It was undoubtly the most impactful and relevant game of that year. Not to mention, well made.

Yup, one of the best MP games out there.

I like it, but same as you I get burnt out after a few games.

No, I was talked into buying it from my friends. Ended up playing it more than all of them but ultimately stopped playing it after 2 months. It's way too overhyped.

I think its a superb team-based shooter, I binged on it at release, played more than a 100 hours easily, but I stopped playing it for a while now. I'm just overwhelmed with games this Gen, especially online games like this and I just do not have time for it anymore. I prefer playing other shooters right now, I may pick it up again later on depends on my free time.
