Are you a fan of Overwatch?

No progression means it gets old really fast. It's fun for maybe 3 matches then I'm ready to move on.

These team based hero games are all the same to me. I find no fun in them whatsoever. To each their own I guess.

It's a damn fine game, but as far as MP shooters go i've been playing R6:Siege more lately.

Not because OW is getting worse, but because Siege just keeps getting better.

Overwatch is probably my personal 2016 GOTY...I've sunk a lot of hours into it...its great when you get some friends together, goof around and do over-the-top team comps like all attack Mercys (which somehow worked for a couple minutes)

Overwatch. I mean it was and still is game of the year of 2016. I don't play it nearly as much lately but the game is really good. It's kinda like having a good mocha or desert. You don't need to have it often but when you do indulge man does it feel good.

its a very good game, but not obsessed with it like some are. Only got my character up to like level 35 or so

It's a solid game but it's limited tactical depth makes it boring to me. Push/defend the cart gets boring quickly especially when the game allows you to change your hero on the fly.

Needs some better game modes.

I dont like competitive games or MP only games in general so no, I'm not a fan...

kudos to those who are and I'm sure for what it is, it is a great game, its just not for me

For me, the game is a lot of fun. Playing with friends and strangers with mics using team work. But I've never felt the need to take it to seriously when I'm playing. It's strictly just a fun time, when or lose.

haven't played it in months. Not that its a terrible game..its infact such a great game it prevented me from finishing others :P

I like having no progression system. It means everyone is on an even playing field. People actually play this game for the gameplay and how fun it is rather than going through the motions to unlock a new gun or perk at the end of a match.

Yes. It was my 2016 GOTY even though I do prefer single player story driven games. Got it in September and I'm just now able to stop playing so I can play other games. The game itself is fun but them doing events with special modes and skins is what constantly pulls people in on a regular bases. Competitive is usually where I get stuck playing more games than I would like because seeing your rank go up is rewarding and you see less dumb players...usually.

If anything better mp games existed that never needed a stupid progression system, it was more about how good the game was.

Yes, it's great. Multiplayer games are the best games and Overwatch is one of the best of those

Its not a bad game by any means, but for me it got boring fast as its doing the same thing over and over. And the RNG loot system is a complete joke

If the game didn't have comp, the addiction wouldn't be there.

If you aren't very good at the game I imagine it's not very fun to you then.

A fun basic time waster.

Love the theme and quality of it, and the main game loop is good.

But having played it over 150+ hours, and then going back and trying TF2's MAtchmaking mode ... I've realised what I TRULY hate about modern shooters..... MATCHMAKING and RANKED MATCHMAKING.

It works well in Counterstrike (even then I'd rather a server lobby) ... but I feel matchmaking has completely killed the multiplayer aspects of shooters to me now, I cant be arsed to just crawl my way up a ranking sheet where everyone is angry at eachother all the time for making mistakes or not picking "MOST META TEAM!" ... and after all that, you all disapeare never to speak again 5 minutes later.

Not once ever in 11 years have I gone back to TF2 and thought "man... I've gone off this game..." until I tried its matchmaking. I then came to my senses and joined my old servers.. and boom, instantly great again.

Console Matchmaking wrecked Star Wars battlefront on PC... its cancerous, but its the easiest least path of resistance design choice, so I'm not suprised its popular.

Bring back the days where you could have amazing servers with freindly teens/adults having a laugh and building freindships while playing., or watching clan people jump on a server and things get interesting. Matchmaking has its place, but its far too dominant now.

It's about people's mindset in any given mode, not about the system.

I think i was raged at once in total for doing goofy shit in those.

As far as Server Browsers go, trying to get everybody in a 4-man group to join the same team is a game in itself and it's a game that i despise.
