Poll Are you a single system or multi system gamer? (146 votes)

Single system - I stick to one system 24%
Multi system - I play on multiple systems 76%

I'm multi system. I own PS4, Switch, PC, 3DS, and Vita. I feel like back in the day, you could get away with just owning a PS2 because it was so dominant. But now you're really missing out if you just have one system. Am I rite, SW? Or have things always been the same?

I have a Switch and a PC. But I can't really consider PC a true platform because I didn't go out of my way to buy it for gaming.

Multi - X1/1X/PS4/Switch/Low end gaming PC.

1X and Switch get the most usage atm. PS4 will probably jump up a fair bit when Spiderman comes out (still have to finish God of War too).

Multi systems no matter what i end up getting everything. Exclusives and a few multiplats on consoles, ps4 and sometime my new 1s (Thank you MS for putting your games on pc even if the window store is painful). Switch just for Nintendo main hitters and occasional exclusive built 3rd party. Honestly I'm never fully satisfy with a nintendo console. I don't follow mario on his different appearances and don't care for pokemon. Usually my favourite nintendo games are the lesser hit franchises like Metroid, Zelda. Switch is making everything a big hit though these days. PC is for very special games like The Witcher 3 and every big multiplat game.

Racing fans get on that GTS competitions its cheap now. might be the best competitive racing game write now.

I've always been multi-system. Have always had 2 consoles and atleast one handheld.

NES, SNES, GB (NES is a different gen I know, but by the time I was old enough to game these were the 3 system available to me)

N64, PS1, GBC

GC, PS2, GBA

Wii, 360, DS, PSP

Wii U, Xbone, 3DS

Also own a Switch now, which I consider 9th gen.

Multi, I can’t imagine missing out on big AAA exclusives by just owning a single system. I want to play the hallmark games that will be remembered for all time, and those aren’t available on a single system.

I kinda agree, but time only permits me to stick with pc at the moment. Maybe circumstances will change one day and I'll get a ps and a swift.

For this generation:

Multi - Xbox One X + Switch (my GF's) - it's all I really need since I don't play video games too often anymore, so I consolidated to one system, which made more sense. I just play whatever I'm interested in. My GF and I share both systems, but I'm mainly on the X more and she on the Switch. Might pick up another Switch at some point.

I also I have the original Xbox One in my bedroom. Gave my 2DSXL away for my niece because I wasn't really playing it.

At one point in 2015 I had Ps4, WiiU, 3DSXL, Ps3, Ps2, Xbox, Xbox 360 , and a Vita

Early 2016, I got tired of having so many consoles I wasnt even using and I was starting to work full time and less time for gaming. So I sold everything and built a 980 Ti i7 6700K gaming desktop computer.

Got a lot of use out of my computer (and still do) , but I really didnt use it much for gaming. I played Danganronpa 1, Nier Automata, Legend of Heroes Trails of Cold Steel , and I think those are the only games I completed. Mainly just played overwatch or watching anime or other random stuff on the internet (also emulated some games from older generations).

Skip ahead to 2018, I'm buying 1 or 2 consoles next week on July 12th. I have some friends now who like to play fighting games and I'm particularly interesting in playing Persona 5 and Xenoblade Chronicles 2, among a few other exclusives. And Soul Calibur 6 , Smash Bros Ultimate , Red Dead 2 , Dragon Quest 11 all coming out this fall .

I just got bored with PC games honestly. All the more interesting exclusives for my personal tastes seem to be on consoles . I'll probably only use my PC to game in the future, for when there's some visually spectacular multiplat game that comes out and I play in on PC .

I think if you only own one platform, you will be missing out on something. For example, if you only have Ps4 or Xbox, youre missing out out on the switches portability and nintendos unique games. If you only own a Switch, you dont have access to a huge variety of multiplats or Sony's AAA exclusives.

To get the best gaming experience you probably would own 2 consoles at minimum, and possible 3 if you have a gaming computer .

Own all but it's the last time I am doing that shit. Games simply need to be platform independent. Buying redundant hardware because of fanboys is annoying.

single system, PC.

I'm about thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis close *pinches fingers* to buying a PS4, though. The exclusives just might be worth it.

I just got a VR headset, though, so probably not worth it given I have a whole new genre of games to explore.

PC/PS4/Nintendo Switch so yeah, I'm "Multi-System owner and I hate the idea of missing good fun games to that.

Voted: Multi system - I play on multiple systems

I love racing games and consoles, so i'll let you figure it out.

Also you have to realise that some of us have real lives that involves mortgages, partners, kids etc and don't have as much time as we once did so buying multiple gaming devices is just a waste of time.

True, some of us have a life that we don't have time to do everything, but in my case. I have a family to provide, pay bills, go to work but overall, I make sure I have time to play everything I like and can. I just manage to balance my time-wisely on certain days. When I'm off work, I have free time for the most parts so it's why I'm able to game on PC or PS4. My Switch really comes in handy when I'm out of the house meaning I use the handheld mode more so and hardly play it at home.

My advice to anyone before you buy multiple gaming machines, always think about, if this is the system you are going to be using the most and getting more out of it then the other game system. Always try to balance your days/time is what I do when it comes to gaming multiple systems.

Ive had just a gaming PC since 2016 and I'm just bored of it now. I'm getting a PS4 + Switch next week. My life right now I'm traveling a lot and spending more time with friends who game, I'm getting tired of playing other peoples consoles and since its so much later in the Ps4's lifecycle now theres a good palate of exclusives to play now. Switch im mainly buying for Xenoblade 2, Bayonetta games , and the indies since the switch is the ideal platform for those now. I'm absolutely hyped for Smash Bros Ultimate and Soul Calibur 6, my two favorite fighting games series.

PS4, Switch, X360, PC, 2DS XL is what i play on,

I still pick up games for the 360 sometimes because they are so cheap now, i skipped many games last gen, just picked up blue dragon and lost odessey for under 10 bucks. My 360 collection i think is actually bigger than my ps2 collection, and my ps2 collection is atleast 50 games.

My backlog is insane right now, I love this hobby but hardly have the time for it...

Single System - PS4Pro

Couldn't be more happier and it made more sense to me, no backlogs, just simple investments on a single console. Getting the most out of it, without wasting money away on other consoles and games I know I will never finish or just leaving it on shelf for another day whenever that comes. Too much clutter to me. I prefer being more practical and minimalistic and I really don't feel I'm missing out on anything. Sure there are games that I want to play on other systems, but at the end of the day I realize there are just plenty of interesting games out there, even on the PS4, that I'll NEVER going to play ALL of them in my lifetime. That's just me.

I play on all 3 consoles. Xbox X is my main system, the Switch to play exclusives home and anything else on travel/transports/holidays and the PS4 Pro I use very sporadically to play the few games that are really worth it.

I don't regret buying any but... From the 3 the PS is the only I sometimes have second thoughts. Sold my PSVR a few months after buying it because it kind of sucked (it was not terribly but in the time I have available to game 99% of it's library has no chance against traditional games). The Xbox X also made it irrelevant for the vast majority of games. And from all the exclusives only Bloodborne and GoW are really excellent. But I'm not considering selling it, there's still games I want to play , even if it means I'll only use it once or twice a year.

I play on PS3, PS4, and PS Vita. Next system will be a Switch but I'll hold off for now. Full price for ports of 2011 games like Skyrim is just disrespectful. I'll just play it on my PS3 and deal with those God-awful load times lol

Multi system. I own everything from an NES all the way up to the X1. There are a few I don't own yet but it is more of a I've run out of cash problem. A PS4 is on my to buy list but I'm very content with my PS3, many games I still have to play on it. Looking back on it now and I feel like I am a more intelligent consumer now, I would have waited on my purchase of the X1 as it still has a few games at best I want to play, I think the PS4 has come to the point where I can justify a purchase as it has enough games I want to play, I'll just wait for the price to continue to drop or I'll buy one used at a pawnshop.
I haven't really touched my X1, it is easier to fire up my 360 and insert and disc instead of waiting for the X1 to download my games, that is if they are even compatible yet if ever.
The only game I plan to buy for my X1 is Gears 4 and Halo Infinite at the moment. I will buy Gears 4 on my X1 and not the Microsoft store on PC, when it comes to trusting Microsoft I'd rather have a physical copy than trust their PC store (maybe it doesn't matter and correct me if I'm wrong.)
I recently picked up a Vita and I must admit the visuals are gorgeous on games like BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend, I've only bought a few other games on the cheap like Flying Hamster HD (kinda fun lol) but there are a few RPG games I would like to buy.
I haven't picked up my 3ds to much recently but I did buy Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon so I'm looking forward to jumping into that as someone told me it provides 30/40 hours of game play (which kinds of surprises me so i'll see.)
More than anything though I'm glued to my PC, as I'm sure some of you know I always sink at least one hour of time into Torchlight 2 a week, I'm quite fond of my Action RPGs, so my fix comes from Titan Quest, Grim Dawn, Diablo 2 and The Adventures of Van Helsing.
Most of my FPS game play is also on PC, DOOM, Wolfenstein, Prey and others.
I bought a Retron and my God that machine is awesome, light as a feather and plays 99% of my classic cartridges, the one I bought at the time was only good for NES games, but I plan to purchase one that does SNES and Sega games.
My latest pickup was a Dreamcast and I got Phantasy Star Online which is playable offline to a good extent and the guy left the disc Worms Armageddon in it, which I have no idea how to play but looks hilarious and I can't wait to give it a try.

Have a PC,but don't game on it. Happier than flies on shit with my Xbox One. It's all I need for now as far as gaming is concerned.
