idk.. i dont think so
I'll normally go through my first playthrough of a game without worrying about them, then I'll go for the non frustrating ones to add replayability. then if I'm close to 100%, I may go for it.
No, not really. Although there are always a few select ones that I will always try to go after for the fun of it and also to get more out of the game. I never go nuts and try to get every one, though. No matter how much I love a game. I just play to enjoy the game itself.
Well, I do try to collect all the trophies in PS3 games regurly but I won't buy a crap game for an easy platinum.
..
On the flip side they can limit a game as well, Mirrors Edge being a perfect example of this. I tried first time playing for the no guns achievement, broke down about half way and had so much more fun with the game as parkour + machine gunning marines is pure awesome in my books...
I guess to me, done right they can give me a reason to look at parts of the game that I may have missed otherwise, but they will be no means have me playing a game I dont like, or replaying a game I have played before simply to get the gold or get the 100 points. Done wrong their encouragement of certain play-styles can hinder the experience.Nah... I wont buy a game just for achievements or anything. But I do enjoy getting them :)bobcheeseball
this.
not the kind of guy who'd buy games to get access to achiements. and I'll sometimes go out of the way to get them, but it has to be a game I already enjoy.
