[QUOTE="simslifer"][QUOTE="Richymisiak"] the nice big pdf file that explains everything for you this also summarises the report
Richymisiak
In the first two years of ownership, SquareTrade found that 2.7 percent of Wii owners reported a system failure, compared with 23.7 percent of Xbox 360 owners and 10 percent of PS3 owners.
thats taking about the first 2 years not the whole 4 years X360's been out.
this also does not count the systems which did not use a warranty and just bought a new X360.
fail...
its two years of ownership of the console, which makes the numbers not the most accurate, but not as inaccurate as that GI poll and you have to pay $45 for their warranty, why the hell would someone just buy a new one when they can get the console repaired regardless of fault for free?look if this is a record from 2 years that means those are from two years of warranty = 23.7%
if you add another 2 years= those numbers most likely double or triple from all the warranties of X360s given back because it broke during 2008 and 2009 which should leave the number at around 40%- 50%.
this is not even counting all the buyers who just purchased a new system..
