Are you excited about Platinum Games Nier Automata or Team Ninja's Ni Oh on PS 4?

Personally more excited about Ni Oh's gameplay as it got elements from Ninja Gaiden, Souls and Ominusha. My kind of game. On other hand Music and Story will be superior in Nier Automata as successor to Drakengard 3/Nier , gameplay also fast paced and more improved according to devs.

Samurai Souls is what i want more.

Also Ni Oh is set in rural Japan as i ruled out from last gameplay footage. I always like games set in feudal Japan and its culture then. Samurai's, Code of Honour :)

Yes for now, because I don' know enough about either. If you twisted my arm, then I would say the one with the most RPG elements is the most anticipated for me.

Ni-Oh is something I've wanted for two generations, now. It's literally my personal FF Versus XIII. The last story from Akira Kurosawa!

Nier looks like a great game and the first one was top-notch. Still, Ni-Oh has a transcendent appeal to me. I don't care if they have a $1000 special edition of it, I will buy that without a second thought.

If Ni Oh is like Souls games than No, I dont care for those type of games .

The new Neir games looks like it could be good, but need to see more. Is it even out this year? It says 2016, but who knows.

Nier Automata is bit more of a weird one. The original IP doesn't really do anything for me, however with Platinum's touch it might just end up as something amazing.

Thank God, both are coming to PS4 because both look great.

Ni-Oh by far for now. I've wanted a new Onimusha game for a while and this looks to be the next best thing.

Sorry, no Sony only exclusives ever made to PC. Sony does well to keep its exclusives intact, unlike Xbox :)

Ni-oh was even announced as the console exclusive during the PSX and Sony never claimed it as PS4 exclusive. And as far as NieR is concerned, the video listing all the console exclusive and exclusive games for PS4 Didn't list it as any so it's again probably PS4 first.

And in case you haven't noticed the NieR IP is owned by Square Enix and Ni-Oh is owned by Koi-Tecmo. None are Sony exclusives.

Dunno, i noticed Nier Automata and Ni Oh listed under PS 4 only. But yeah, if they release for Xbox One, they might make it for PC too. If Sony only i doubt :)

Aren't they cross play multiplayer games only? But still i'll go with your point, just 2 games all these years. Doubt Sony will be any interested in sharing any games which is in Sony Platform only.

I'm leaning closer to Ni Oh. The whole idea of Dark Souls Samurai appeals to me very much. Keeping an eye on the game progress.

@indzman: They're SOE MMO games but not cross play. There are others as well but I only posted those two to show there are no absolutes, Sony have sold SOE now but for many years they owned a studio that concentrated on making PC games, many of which were/are exclusive.

Ni-Oh was announced by Sony as 'Console Exclusive'; meaning it will come to PS4 and PC. Only later Koi Tecmo said that it's PS4 exclusive and not Sony, never was it ever marketed as 'Only on Playstation' title. NieR Automata, well one thing about it is confirmed it too is not a PS4 exclusive since it avoid using the same marketing label.

Right and if Tecmo themselves say it's an exclusive then it's exclusive.

Nah, they are just trying to hide until the Japanese release or it could well mean that it's exclusive only in Japan. Pretty vague when Japanese publishers do that and it definitely hints at PC release since Sony avoided calling it an exclusive just like Robinson.

As for NieR Automata:

It may well mean that it's coming to NX but it's definitely not exclusive.

The ones in bold are definitely not and there are no bets for the rest as well seeing how Japan keep on losing their games to PC though I do agree they are most of the time crap ports since Japan don't know how to code.
