Are you getting a PS5 or an Xbox Series X Day One and why?

PS5 if there's at least one exclusive worth a damn. My hope is for Demon's Souls to be a launch title, and if it is, then ps5 day one.

I never buy day 1, but if I did it will be the ps5 cause I want it.

Don't need the other thing cause I have a phone for gamepass.

I'll get XsX eventually, not sure about day 1 yet. It'll depend on what Nintendo does... if they release this supposed Mario collection, I'll be more excited to play that first.

PS5. Already invested in their eco and I like their exclusives and they have more of it.

Series S or RTX 3070 later unless I get a very good deal on Series X.

I havent bought a new console day one since the dreamcast. I'll get a ps5 after its been out a year or so and easily available.

Xbox day one because of the back catalogue of games I own, hopefully a PS5 in January

I will get the PS5 when Ratchet and Clank gets a release date.

Series X day one, maybe a PS5 too depending on price and availability.

If I can it will be the series S followed by PS5 when horizon 2 drops.

I’m getting the Xbox Series X day one because I like the Xbox platform and ecosystem the most. I also really enjoy Halo and want to play Infinite day one on that system along with a number of third party games that are coming out around the same time. I also have a very extensive library of Xbox games and look forward to seeing how many of them perform on the new system as well.

I’ll get a PS5 later on down the road.

PS5 is a day 1 cop. It actually has next gen exclusives.

I'll stick with my 1X until MS starts pumping out next gen exclusives. Hoping Avowed, Fable and The Initiatives game deliver.

Graphics( 12 teraflops), value (game pass), controls (Xbox controller is more ergonomic), online(do I even need to explain how and why Microsoft has the better infrastructure?) etc

No consoles day 1. I will however be getting a gorgeous RTX3080 on release.

I know for a fact I'll be getting PS5 somewhere down the line but not on a launch day unless I see what I wanna play of course. But as of right now, I'm gonna save my money and upgrade my gaming PC GPU to Nvidia's new RTX 30XX series and as well to AMD's Ryzen 7 40XX series.

It suffers from the same open world tropes as 90% of all open world games. I just can't stand this shit anymore. Played too many open world games with the same problems. Its like playing the same game with different themes.

And i can't stand superheroes in general so that's another huge minus.

I'm not a huge fan of open world games but I really didn't want a open world Halo. I'm still buying it just for the story but that whole 10 year model they're talking about pushing is a turn off. Might as well call it Destiny

Nothing that interests me. To be honest, nothing really interested me that much in terms of launch games in the past either. I got new consoles more for the novelty. Maybe I'm just more grounded now, I dunno. It would be interesting to get a console 2-3 years down the line when it's more established and there's access to more games. Kinda looking forward to that, but that depends if something even gets my attention. And if I were to get one it would be the PS5. At the moment I have a powerful pc and my backlog is enormous.

No reason for me to go for a PS5 yet....maybe later down the line when they make a ps5 that is a bit smaller. Already played Spiderman. The X1X goes upstairs and XSX will fit nicely under my centre speaker.

I imagine you have a pc then? If not, what are you gonna play for the next 2-3 years? Games won't be released on the current systems, and the few that will, will have sub 30fps in most cases.

Not sure yet. The price and launch games will be a deciding factor for me on which one I get first.

Both on launch day. 2 PS5's and a XSX. Why? Well, I like playing games and it's my favorite hobby... I'm a console gamer with a PC gaming mindset (yes I do play some PC). I'm always excited for a new gen, and this one even more so than the last couple since there will be noticeable changes outside of the normal graphical enhancements. Loading and gameplay should see a significant jump and that has me excited. Like I always say, haters can hate it's what they do best. I don't like limiting my options or being all jaded and giving some weak excuse as to why I wouldn't like a game on a console I don't own when I clearly would like the game. If you can swing it then why not? Another thing I often say is that more options are almost never a bad thing. You might as well enjoy the time you have and do what you love. I'm a collector at heart and it keeps me occupied.

PS5 due to bc, in particular to keep creating stuff in Dreams.

PS5 as I have only time and money to buy one console and it has games that I like. I have enjoyed myself on Sony since PS2 and have no reason to switch.

XSX been on the Xbox eco system since original Xbox .. friends are there, my library of games is there that I can play thanks to BC

I will get the console that isn't an underpowered 9.2 TFlops POS and that somehow it's fans are saying that the fast SSD with some voodoo magic will make up for the weak specs 🤣

All depends on launch titles. I'll end up with both within the first few years, but what's going to determine this one comes down to Halo. If it's good, I'm going Series X regardless of what PS5 has to offer. If Halo absolutely blows chunks, then it comes down to PS5's launch lineup. Spider-Man was great, but I stopped playing it halfway through. Miles isn't getting me to drop $500 in November.
