Nope. It isn't that great of a game. I got my character maxed out before any DLC came out, and that was enough for me.

Give it another try? All I did was stop playing for months and then play once a week for a long time. I never really stopped because its fun to shoot things in it. Yes I will play Taken King but not until next year as its not in my budget this year.

But by your own admission you put 100S of hours into Destiny. You couldn't have been that disappointed by it.

Nope. The few hours that I played Destiny were enough. Boring as hell.

The game has over 16 million registered users. Players have averaged 100 hours each, and players who do play it end up averaging 3 hours a day playing it. While it's success is rarely talked about and people voice frustration over the Activision's greedy marketing by stripping content out and repackaging it as DLC, as far as the game's success commercially then it's very successful. I'd say the hours gamers are putting into it are a sign to how fun and addictive it has been for those playing it.

I'm just gonna post this and why Destiny suck from the start. AJ said it perfectly and SolidGame_Basic, watch this video. And hell no to the DLC: The Raping your wallets.

Bungie are a shell of what they used to be when working on Halo. Sacking Marty was the last straw.

I started playing again a couple weeks ago... Thirty minutes in I remembered why I lost interest... Theres nothing in it for the player. You just play the same stuff over an over with no reward.

Is a taken king changing that?

i would only do it if my raid group comes back but as it stands, they all moved on to elder scrolls online

Only reason why I'm gonna pick it up again is some work mates want me to play TK with them.

@TheEroica: Instead of 2-3h worth of new content, you may be getting a whole day of new content. The new zone will be decently enjoyable for 2-3h worth of running around and shoot underleveled mobs. But when its done, what's the point of returning? Patrol is completely useless in this game and i feel like its their biggest mistake. Open world pvp would've been great EVEN if it only supported 6 players at once. Raid will be great (i assume it will be because without the raid, the expansion has nothing worth mentioning) but everything else is so minor that its the kind of things that would've been added for free in B2P mmo's
