@briguyb13: a passive aggressive girlfriend rolling her eyes and tutting about the space consoles and games take up for one ;) two, my ps4 often doubles as a helicopter impersonator, and three i like the pc style of digital - when i upgrade it's out with the old in with the new, and you get to enjoy the perf boost of old games on new hardware. i'd prefer that to a console graveyard where occasionally ive got to resurrect one of the poor buggers

For me it makes sense, I can download 50gb in 12 minutes so even if I ran out of space I could just uninstall and reinstall later if I felt like playing. I've never sold games previously so no physical copies isn't a burden.

No physical is better for me. My country has one of the slowest internet speeds in the world. I also like to have something to show for the money I'm spending also.

Nope, staying physical for as long as possible. That said, I have bought more games digitally at this point that I ever thought i would, but it's usually only because I'm being lazy or don't want to go out in the world recently and deal with all the bullshit covid restrictions... lol

Nope. Though, if it was exclusively digital I probably wouldn't mind too much.

I buy a mix of psysical and digital games. I occasionally use my console as a DVD/Bluray player also. So no, I am not buying a console without a drive.

I'm getting a Series X for UHD movies, and a DE PS5.

Basically already there, with the exception of the nintendo switch. I buy everything physical if possible for that one.

As much as I wanted the disc version of the PS5 for the fact physical copies of games usually have better deals than the PS store, but I'm fine with going digital.

This "next" gen I will be mainly digital but I think my main systems will be PC and Nintendo. BC on PS5 sounds good so I may get the disk version next year since I have yet to start on Bloodborne. However, I just want exclusives that won't go to PC (hopefully Persona 6 on PS5).

I am also hoping ND does something new.

Nope, although Sony has had great sales for PS4 titles I want the option of buying physical copies, used physical copies in particular.

With that said, I am still pretty shocked physical game media is still as prevalent as it is these days. I imagine it's from retailers pushing for it, tapping into the sentimentality of it.

I'm not very shocked.

Easier for casual gamers with physical. Less hassle with accounts. Lend out and borrow games easier. Get value back by selling. A digital game just doesn't feel as much as a product, and when digital costs just as much (if not more, in some cases) people going physical isn't very odd at all.

I'm buying all first party Nintendo games physical and I'm glad I got a friend who does the same, making me able to borrow his games and vice versa. Otherwise I might have bought Link's Awakening, which I didn't like much, for 60 bucks. Now I played it for free.
