[QUOTE="Sonic_on_crack"]I'm more hardcore than 95% of SWHarlockJC
No you are not...You hate Nintendo too much to be more hardcore than most of the people on SW...The true Hardcore gamers are the ones who do not care who makes a game. They just play any game they can get there hands on.
I beg to differ. Your definition includes games like Lair, Superman 64, and Barbie Horse Adventures. Close, but it really depends on preference to what type of game they like to play.
[QUOTE="levi895"]I am PC, 360, Wii, PS3 hardcore...why the hell wasnt there an option for that?dru26Yea, seriously. I myself don't play on PCs, but any real hardcore gamer has all 3 consoles.
agreed, Ps3(wii or 360 whatever)Hardocore players = Fanboy, so to call your self a hardcore gamer you accuatly need to play and enjoy all kinda of games of any time or console unbiased about it, you cant be a hardcore gamer and a fanboy at the same time, if you cant afford more then one system then thats your problem.
i have a Pc and a Wii, planning on getting a ps3 down the line and reallly sptical about the 360(iam not looking foward owning another microsoft product, vista already gives me enough problems as it is)
No system can be defined as "hardcore." Only the gamers who play the systems can be considered "hardcore."
Being defined as "hardcore" takes a certain level of dedication to video games. You have to devote part of your life to playing, understanding and appreciating them. You can only be considered truly "hardcore" if you have spent a significant portion of your life playing games from many varieties of genres. Whether you prefer them or not.
A casual is someone who sits down for a few to several hours playing the same or very similar games over and over and over. Someone who doesn't take chances and branch out into new and exciting new places, someone who doesn't take pride in games and does not appreciate them as the "art form" that they are.
To be truly "hardcore" you must know, live and feel video games.

That's your feeling. Everyone's opinion is different. That's whyI asked by YOUR definition

accuatly i agree with him, if you own a xbox only to play halo on it, then you are a casual gamer(picked halo due to its popularity, and i know a dozen of casual gamers who own a xbox just for halo and they just play it on weekends for 1-2hours or so)
hardcore gamers loves to play most genres of games on any console they can get their hands on,.
now wasting away your life playng video games is a bit drastic thats not hardcore thats just... well lets left that for another topic.
What about PC...hojobojo
It actually is very amazing to me that someone could leave out PC gaming when there are 14 million+ people out there with gaming PC's in the US alone. That is funny stuff indeed.
I wouldn't say that I'm a hardcore game anymore. I probably used to be, but nowadays I can't handle long games, although, I still love Zelda and Metroid games, and looking forward to Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (I live in Sweden) and Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. A few years ago I loved JRPG games. I had a PS1 back in the day, and I played many RPG's back then. The same with the SNES -- it was all about the RPG's.
I guess you can call me a casual and a hardcore gamer. I don't really care which I am.

Because I live in Norway, where gaming PCs cost 5000 dollars, so nobody has them

Not like some games is fine....But not liking a whole game company is another thing all together...I am sorry but I just don't think someone can call him or herself hardcore and not play one of the major three just because they don't like the company. I can understand money but not pure dislike. But then again I don't call myself hardcore. Even thought others do.
[QUOTE="HarlockJC"]I don't like to give my sell a title...But I will give you facts and you can judge me
I own 15-20 game systems every Sega besides the master system, every Nintendo, 3DO, XBox, PS 1 and 2
Well over 1000 games
I go to Devry for Video game Programing and Design
and I am playing Pokemon well I am typing this with my other hand
sonicare
That's easy. Not hardcore. You're as casual as they come :P
Most of the games I like are called casual by most people.
Honestly the very defitnition of hardcore is skewed.
I can play a hour of Wii tennis, or Wario Ware, before diving in for a few hours of ArmA / Flashpoint - fiddling around with the mission editor, or hit some Lock On Modern Air Combat / Enemy Engaged.
That is the opposite extremes of gaming - and I enjoy both.
So what does that make me? A hard-sual?
