WTF? I mean Halo is not that great it is way to over-hyped. I played and HA;CE and it was aright too slow, you could only hold 2 weapons, the weapons were a little boring, the story was aright but USUALLY EVERY FRICKEN ROOM LOOKED THE SAME IN 2 BRATREL AND MORE. And people call Resistance repetitive halo is too repetitive. And now HAlo 3 is supposed to beat PS3's every game. I will start doing that FINAL FANTASY 13 WILL BEAT EVERY GAME THE 360 HAS.

Final Fantasy gets worse and worse, I was an avid fan of the series, but come on they arnt all great, Mass Effect ... now thats an RPG worth noteing. Hell FF12 copied the battle system of KOTOR/Neverwinter because thier older way wasnt cutting it anymore.

Only so many craptastic Japanese RPG's which focus on the "9999 damage is teh skill" over most Western RPG's that limit you to choosing character building correctly, and actually have optional diologue instead of scripted stories that are nearly identical everytime.

FF12 = Star Wars.

That would be a good arguement if I was actually raving about MGS4, but I'm not.

Not many people will agree with you about halo being repetitive and boring, considering how incredibly popular it is. I haven't heard many lemmings even saying this game will beat all the games on the PS3, it probably won't, but it will still be a fantastic game.

Im just saying that while Haze may not be more popular than Halo, it has a chance to score higher than Halo here on gamespot. Haze brings a fresh story, gameplay that isn't in your traditional shooter, and it seems like it will have a great multiplayer. Will it be better than halo's only time will tell. I think the rest of the game will do well enough to overcome it's possbile shortcomings in multiplayer compared to Halo.CajunShooter

I don't doubt it will be a good game. Actually, I hope it is. Only someone really bitter would hope for a game to "flop", as good games make the industry grow and move, and new IPs that do well encourage publishers to let developers persue more original IPs, which benefits all of us.

Mario was bigger. Now the Mario name is so fragmented it would be hard to justify what was a "real" Mario game, and what is a game that just uses the Mario name. You would be better off using Zelda or Metroid, but neither has sold as well as Halo has in the last few years.

I wasn't directing the majority of my comments at you.

Though with regard to Haze. Haze has no history, you can't really make an assumption on what you are actually getting from the few gameplay aspects we have been shown. I was really looking forward to seeing Haze, probably before a lot of others were since it's from the guys who made Timesplitters. But when I actually saw gameplay footage, it was the epitome of the generic FPS. Aside from the necter stuff, which didn't look like it was adding a lot. Of course we havn't seen any of the story parts in action yet, which is what they are apparently putting a lot into.

Whereas the Halo franchise has a star studded history, we have seen an excellent Beta preview and there is still more to come from the game! What do you actually want in a sequal? It's not a new IP, this is a sequal! Of course a lot of the gameplay elements are going to be the same, that's the nature of a sequal.

I also don't see you can catagorically state Halo 3 will score lower. I'll put it to you that Bungie have stated they didn't have as much time as they needed with Halo 2, and couldn't get all the issues with the game ironed out, something that they have said is the opposite with Halo 3, and they are really concertrating on making the last game in this series the best it can possibly be.

Just because the Mario name has been bastardized with as many off-shoots from the original concept as possible, does not mean it is the current biggest franchise. What is the Mario franchise now anyway? Mario Party? SSB? Super Mario: Galaxy?

I am not be 100% correct with Halo, as it really is more of a matter of opinion. But it is jostling up there with the likes of Mario.

Sony has been making stupid moves by not making contracts to keep it's exclusives, Microsoft's 360 doesnt really have any good games and it's on it's 2nd year (ppl have been talking down on Gears of War all the time), wii is the worst of all of them it's just this little gimmicky system with N64 graphics that overpriced with horrible games and no online plan, and the PC just doesnt market to casual gamers what so ever....
