if so, why?

gaming on Pc is a more rewarding experience, but I'd be curious to know from the guys who have a capable Pc their reasons why they prefer gaming on a console.

I got a capable Pc, but console exclusive games are the key factor why I think many gamers may still prefer it over the Pc.

but I might be wrong, so what is it?

I can't afford a capable PC at the moment. That is why I do not have a gaming PC. But if I did have one I would still game on PS3 mostly because I'm used to it. I've been console gaming for a long time and I like it.

I have a gaming PC and all the consoles, though I would not say I prefer them. There are great exclusives sure and some games I prefer to play with a gamepad, but I think im still rather more a PC guy becouse of the variety that it provides and in many cases the communities that form around PC games are more civil and the players generally more mature. A stupid example but I have never been teabagged in an online game on PC.

Sums me up pretty well. I have high end rig but prefer console gaming.

I just feel disconnected from my friends whenI play on PC. I also can't get used to KB&M, and get demolished whenI use a gamepad.

That being said there are some games on PC which I play quite a lot. The Total War series, The Football Manager series, old school Bioware titles, etc

Being PC savvy=having a gaming pc? I never knew that...I was always under the belief being savvy meant you knew something...Like the fact I've been on a computer since I was about 5 years old *im 28* that I had been gaming on pc for a while, I know how to build a pc, install and OS, debug things... that I'm experienced...

did I get it wrong or something?
P.S:I don't own a super powered PC cause I got sick of upgrading, and PCs didn't offer quite a few of the game types I wanted, as well I had been console gaming since the atari 2600...so I just gave up one area for another I was already enjoying.

Now if they were to remake Battlezone for PC's I would likely sell all my consoles and portables and get a 3000 dollar PC with 30 inch monitors, super mouse, keyboard...etc Battlezone...such fond memories...
XCS!!!!!

You play games in sub-hd and low-med settings on consoles because no game on any system has surpassed the technical graphics of Crysis?

Been console gaming since I was 2, handheld gaming since I was 10, and PC gaming since I was 15. So most of my experience is with consoles and handhelds, so in a way I guess I prefer them due to using them longer and having grown up with a lot of series on consoles and handhelds that aren't legally available on PC, like Mario Bros., many of the older Final Fantasy games, Dragon Quest, Donkey Kong, all the good stuff. I tend to play a lot of console & handheld games, but stick to just a few games on PC, although Steam has recently broken that tradition. Now I buy lots of PC games too.

Unless the console version of a game sucks, I'll probably prefer it to the PC version for now. But I know if I get the console version first, I can get the PC version a year or two later for only $5 or less on Steam. So I could end up with both versions of the game I like. I don't mind double dipping as long as the extra copies are cheap.

Funny thing is, you dont have to just play Crysis and the Witcher on PC ;). I was just playing Bad COmpany 2 on my PC with far superior graphics, controls, and amount of players (compared to consoles). I love my PC. PC IS the best, but yes consoles have some amazing exclusives I will never ignore (Zelda, Uncharted, Metroid, Mario, and more).

I used to have all the consoles but sold the Wii. Anyway I have a gaming PC but prefer not to use it too much for gaming. It's loud hot and I worry about burning it out. I use my PC for business, porn, meeting random women on the internet for "dates"- I would hate to burn my computer out gaming. Also dont like gaming with a keyboard and mouse. I even played Crysis with a 360 controller.

Just as i said, i don't have fun gaming on my PC. No idea why. I could sit at home with my PS3, 360, Wii or DS and play for hours. I play a game on my PC and get bored in like 10 mins. I guarantee you if Crysis and The Witcher were on PS3 i would have beat them.

Nope.

I actually know that deep down inside I love my N64, my SNES, and my Dreamcast among others, but my PC gets 99% of my playtime. It's hard to drag myself away from it.

I love gaming. My systems are just the tools for it, so I don't have to claim any of them being superior to others. My PC, PS3, 360, Wii and DS all get their playtime.

I'm assuming most of you are trolls. Nobody has a nice gaming PC and PREFERS consoles. We've all heard the car analogies before ... so you are saying the Honda is all you need, but calling yourself a race car driver.

Also, one of the comments said "I have a gaming PC, but can't get used to the m/kb" ?!? That simply doesn't add up.

There is absolutely no reason to use a console, other than for exclusives, if you have a gaming PC. (and no Facebook games doesn't constitute PC gaming)

If the consoles weren't sub-hd, awful communities, and terrible controls I maybe could accept a few splatterings of a pc gamer preferring console ... but as is the two are mutually exclusive.

I would say I am incredibly PC saavy, I have built a large number of my past system. I am a developer of PC applications, complex multi-teired systems not simple notpad style applications. I maintain work servers running in complex fail-over clusters on hyper-v servers. I would say I am incredibly PC saavy. Why do I game on my console. 1. More relaxing. Sitting on my large comfortable chair with my son sitting on my lap while I play games (he is able to watch, Little Big Planet and the like, no voilent games while he is around). 2. I am on my PC, for work all the time, I come home and I do work on my PC, for some time, I don't want to be on the same device to relax it is a seperation thing. My PC is capable of playing decent games, Win 7, Quad Core, 4GB RAM 1667MHz HD 5770 1GB graphics, RAID 0 1TB HDDs. But, I do it because I choose not to game on my PC. For me Console gaming gives me all the ability to play the top games I want to play the WAY i want to play it, without any thought.

I really also have another good reason pitty, because games these days are going more multiplat and being dumbed down for consoles. Meaning that alot of times new games are sometimes even better on consoles. *Cough*... GTA4 for example. Any other examples?

I have a high end gaming PC but I prefer consoles. I don't play too many games that take advantage of the full power of computer which makes me realize the whole quest for gaming rigs is pointless. The speed of technology far out paces game development. That and consoles provide comparable games.AncientDozer

Of course you could be like most people and upgrade when you aren't satisfied with your performance in games. Hmm....

Meh, I've got a very capable PC and a PS3/360.

PS3 gets 95% of my playtime and PC gets 5%.

The only game I actually spend a lot of time playing on PC is Red Alert 3 online.

I just prefer the gamepad, my TV, a comfy chair and surround sound to playing on my PC.

Not to argue, but you can use all of those things with your PC too, as well as wireless HDMI and controller if you don't want to move the system to your living room.
