Are you pleased with your hardware choices this gen?

I am pretty pleased, and think I'm going very well getting all the greatness out of this gen :)

My first console was wii (notice topic: this gen :lol: ). I played it less than 1 year, then sold it due to lack of games that did interest me. Anyway I got my motion control and casual gaming fix for this gen.

With that money I bought 360. I have had my 360 about 2 years. Getting my core games fix.

And now year ago I bought ps3. Getting all those amazing exclusives like mgs4 and uncharted series.

Now after E3. Microsoft went casual with kinect. Sony still balancing between core and casual. Nintendo switched to core. Plus most of games developers are becoming multiplat like bungie (except sony's and nintendo's first party studios ofcourse).

I can happily sell my 360 (ofcourse I'm gonna play halo reach first and what not), and buy wii again :D

Also I owned DS lite, which I sold (I still got to enjoy alot great games like hotel dusk). And I started to regret solding it, but not anymore since they announced 3DS.

Are you happy "hardware" wise?

360: Yes

PS3: It's good, not great

PC: It's good, not great

Wii: It's ok

DS: Yes

i have a PS3, 360, DS and a iphone. i sold my wii a few years ago after finishing SMG and got a 9800GT for my PC. but was think of picking up a cheap second hand on soon for SMG2.

360: YES! Although Halo 3 was a bummer

I will never be disappointed in the PC.

So long as it remains lightyears ahead of the consoles in terms of 3rd party support.

Yea.. well except my 360.. POS hardware if I ever saw it.

Yes, but i wish that i had waited for the 360 slim. :/. Oh well, such is life.

PS3: Great system, better exclusives than 360, I get to play all the great multiplats.

Wii: Best exclusives, great niche games, best arcade.

DS: Best overall library of games.

360: Sold it, might buy another one if a few more games interest me in the future.

I absolutely love my 360, so yes I'm happy i picked it. I had a PSP but sold it because it got barely any playing time and there weren't any games on the horizon that interested me. After selling the PSP, I bought a DS and played the heck out of it. I haven't bought as many games for it as my 360 but that's mostly because it's more of secondary platform for me.

I'm happy with my three consoles.

If I wasn't, I would've gotten something else by now.

This is the second generation of hardware where I've gone with the "all of the above" approach to my loadout. I'm very happy and wouldn't have it any other way.

The 360 tainted my choices. I was rolling on a good streak of good hardware too.

I did PC and Wii out of the gate, then added PS3 a few months back and just got a 360 today. I've got all my bases covered and don't regret any of it.

Considering a own a gaming PC, a 360, and a PS3, I'm pretty content. Did miss some of the interesting DS titles though, but will fix that with the 3DS.

no thats why i feel the need to go back to snes and any console before this gen. handhelds are an exception

I own all 3 systems so..yeah...well all 5 systems.

Running games in true 1080p, x4 / x8AA at 60fps? Hell yeah. :) WhenCicadasCry

My wallet isn't, though...

Happy with my consoles(360/Wii...PS3 coming soon)....Very happy with my PC..Only put 2gb extra ram on it since I built it in late 07(yea gpu is a little long in the tooth..but hey runs everything high-med/high that I throw at it why replace it?).

Yes. Playing Killzone 2, both Ninja Gaiden Sigmas, and Demon's Souls (I LOOOOVE Demon's Souls!!) has totally made the PS3 worth it! :)
