every year, every AAAE game release, every new feature, every new model....Cows always say its a different ball game.[QUOTE="KingTuttle"][QUOTE="TreeMoBMoney"] Yes, by saying that the ps3 will stop selling in a like it is few weeks makes so much sense. you know, the 360 doesnt ALWAYS have to be outselling the ps3, its library and appeal are just as much as the 360. And with the slim out now... It a whole different ball game now.ShadowriverUB
This time is diffrent :p 2009 is best year for PS3.
Besides xmas is coming nothing will go down, everything will rise and there people who wait for xmas to buy Slim.
more like black friday. but yes i agree with you, 2009 is the ps3's year. not only because MS dropped the ball but also because sony finally got their ---- together.

very, very doubtful. the fact is history will repeat itself again. did the ps3 continue its great sales in 2008 when it had a price drop and many highly rated games coming out? no. did it sell well during the holiday of '08? not so much. nor did it sell well when killzone 2, the ps3's, what fifth, sixth saving grace? once again no. and you seem to be downplaying the 360's upcoming games. many of which are highly anticipated and some of which are sequels to amazing titles. you also seem to forget that the xbox has a $200 version, which while gimped, will most likely sell a ton during the holiday season simply due to to it's low price. so at the end of the day, the ps3 will remain in third, the 360 in second and the wii at first (unfortunately).
the PS3 is 300 $ now, nuf said. as was said when the ps3 was $400; when mgs4 launched;l when the mgs4 bundle was launched; when firmware 3.0 was launched; when home was being hyped to high heaven; when LBP was launched; when killzone 2 was launched; when the first uncharted was launched; etc. i'm seeing a pattern here, can you? the thing is all these stuff were highly successful (except the home, i am not involvded in it in anyway), but not as much as the hype suggested.................400$ was a good price for specific slide of customors, 300 $ is very reasonable for everyone now, the x360 had its price cut wz one of the biggest games at the same time and yet the PS3 managed to beat, any explaination on ur side?? (and plzz dun give me that Halo 3 million copies sold crap, it's a Halo game).[QUOTE="cowgriller"]as was said when the ps3 was $400; when mgs4 launched;l when the mgs4 bundle was launched; when firmware 3.0 was launched; when home was being hyped to high heaven; when LBP was launched; when killzone 2 was launched; when the first uncharted was launched; etc. i'm seeing a pattern here, can you? the thing is all these stuff were highly successful (except the home, i am not involvded in it in anyway), but not as much as the hype suggested.................400$ was a good price for specific slide of customors, 300 $ is very reasonable for everyone now, the x360 had its price cut wz one of the biggest games at the same time and yet the PS3 managed to beat, any explaination on ur side?? and yet with everything you just said, the ps3 is still trailing the 360 by 10 million units and is dead last. there's really no way around it. at this point of the gen and with the lower price of the 360, the ps3 will not catch up.
[QUOTE="Nidget"]They mean the month. Only reason PS3 is top is because of the slim. It will drop back down againurdead18Your sig aggravates me. Your not the first to tell him. And yea I agree.

funny, the absolute thing was said about the ps2 but that outsold the comtetion by a huge margin. yes the 360 has hardware issues but it also has plenty of games and features that would keep most gamers satisfied with it. yes RRoD is an inconvenience, but there are plenty of reason to put up with it. i personally have had two RRoD's and bought a new xbox to replace it. but for you and anyone else to say that the 360's are attributed solely to RRoD is ridiculous. hell i could say that the ps3's sales are replacements for YLoD, which is way the ps3 is in dead last. hell i could say that the wii's high sales are because the user throwing the wii-mote through the wii and needing to replace it. the point i'm getting at is that the "RRoD sells 360's" theory is pure BS. it's not hard to realize that the 360 sales are due to it's appeal to gamers and it's library.

U could definitely say that, but everyone knows thats BS,and comparing the 360's death rate(who knows what it is today) to ps3 less than 1% is ridiculous.U know whats even more ridiculous that my SNES that i got back in 95 still works great,my ps1 worked great and I traded it in for a ps2 also bought a gamecube at the same time, then traded in my ps2 for a 360 which I shouldnt have done,oh and my cube still works just fine. But u said it urself man,u just strengthened my point. How am I supposed to play that great library of games on a system that eats its own games? And besides that,no 360 owner cares about that great library besides Halo cuz thats all every 360 owner talks about, halo this halo that,ok so what about the rest of this great library?Nobody cares about it.To me the 360 is not worth it,its way too expensive and considering all of its prolems its definitely not worth it.There is no doubt the 360 has some nice features and games, evey system has something nice about it but with the reliability issues that are going on its not worth the money.
several things that your glaringly omitted from this post.
1) you seem to forget that today's processors are more advanced than those found in older gaming consoles and computers. todays processors emit more heat than older ones and need to be properly ventilated and cooled, otherwise they'd fry.
2) the ps2 was notorious for destroying games when it was stood vertically. that is also a problem for the 360. now if you move the console when there's a disc inside and it's running, then it's your own fault.
3) yes the 360 is faulty. it's true failure rate is unknown to all except MS and they're not talking. tbh, i wouldn't be surprised if overall the 360 had a 30 - 33% failure rate. that's overall. each iteration of the 360 has a different failure rate with the latest, the Jasper being as low as 2%. the ps3 does not have a 1% failure rate. it could have a failure rate as high as 10% but only sony knows the real number. remember, failure rates also include DRE's/YLoD and firmware that brick the console. the latter has happened frequently to the ps3.
4) to you the 360 may not be worth it, but the others, myself included, it very much is worth it. sure RRoD sucks, but all electronics fail. it's the nature of the beast.
1)I agree with uon that, very true, but my point was that all the consoles I owned including my ps3,still have not failed me once, and Ive had my ps3 for around 3 years prolly, still runs very smooth.
2)Perhaps I was one of the lucky ones then, but alot peeps keep their 360 horizontally and the disc gets eaten up,which happened to me so it wouldnt be my fault, believe me I treat my console's and games like babies,I was mad when my Gears got scratched up.
3)Ur absolutely right,I agree, but fact still remains that the ps3 is more reliable and ud have be very unlucky for it to fail on u.The 360 peeps can expect to fail at any point,Im not saying that to bash the 360,thats just what it is.
4)Yes Im aware of that, and I myself am thinking about getting an Elite at some point(for some exclusives)cuz an Elite is supposed to be more reliable than the original but Im not sure about it yet, still researching on how reliable it is.All electronics do fail,I agree, but at the same time some of them are built to last.
