Hmm let's start by naming some good 360 games.

Orange Box - Superior on PC.

Call of Duty 4 - Superior on PC.

Halo 3 - Fun online, but I played it to death to the point of boredom. Also the online community sucks.

Mass Effect - Terrific game, but spent 40+ hours and getting bored now.

Oblivion - Superior on PC.

Gears of War - Superior on PC.

Bioshock - Superior on PC.

Assasin's Creed - Was an alright game.

So aside from a 2-4 good 360 only games, what is the point in a PC gamer owning a 360? I am seriously considering selling my 360 for a Playstation 3.

Even if the PS3 sucks and has no games this year,it has a pretty decent and varied 2008 lineup. Also the free online (even if it is worse) sounds a lot better than Xbox live. Even though the PS3 has inferior multiplatform games, they are still decent.

The 360 is dead to me.

You spend your entire time there saying why you shouldn't...you want someone to hold your hand and make the decision for you or something?

The PS3 doesn't suck and it's games don't suck either. Play some...you'll see otherwise. You were right about one thing, PS3's 2008 is crazy good looking.

Perhaps I didn't make it clear in my opening comment. I am talking about the 2008 console lineups.

Most 360 exclusives are already out.

Describing yourself a PC gamer suggests that you only game on the PC. As such, it would be pointless to own an Xbox 360.

I just game mostly on my PC. I have owned many consoles in the past.

You shouldn't everything on X360 eventually ends up on PS3 or PC anyway. The best combo is PS3 / PC. The exclusives on PS3 rarely make it off the Playstation platform. For example: Resistance, Motorstorm, Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted. I guarantee you will never see those on PC.

As a PC gamer, you shouldn't

SW has always been a fight for second place.

The only thing that even comes close to a console defense is the rental argument or the $$$ one and $$$ arguments can't count because how can any other person judge how you spend your money?

Well if you have to ask...

honestly though, I enjoy games like Dead Rising, Crackdown, Kameo, Mass Effect, Gears (brought it up because it wasnt worth waiting a year for the pc version), Halo 3 & DOA4 more than pc exclusives. On top of that, most of the pc games that do interest me are on the xbox 360, even if they are slightly better on pc. Then on top of all that, games like Ninja Gaiden 2, Banjo Threeie, Mass Effect 2, APB, Lost Odyssey, Too Human (I loved Eternal Darkness on the gamecube) & Fable 2 are among my most anticipated upcoming games.

Spending more money for upgrades in the future vs. Spending a one time price for most of the same games. You're choice.

I agree with Casey, most people I know enjoy the xbox 360 more than they thought they would. The xbox 360 is much more enjoyed than the og xbox.

I agree best optimal combo this gen. If you dont mind missing those Wii games then you'll get the best experience. MSG4, GeOW, FFXIII, GT5, Bioshock, KZ2, WIC, CRYSIS,.... damn I could go on forever.

Actually PCs have superior online,graphics,controls,etc.

Playing on consoles suck because you have a clunky controller, you can't type, the OS is slow, the DVD drive on the 360 sounds like an airplane engine, etc.

I agree that would suck. But that's exactly the same reason I HATE fps on consoles. I can NOT stand playing an fps with a controller. It's just disgusting for me.

There are certain exclusives you'll have to wait a long time for on the PC if you get them at all; depends on whether those interest you. There are also console multiplats that never come to the PC.

The 360 also has some cool things that I just can't get out of my PC, although I'm a hermit first and foremost. I like playing on my big HDTV with surround sound. Certain games are better with a controller, and even PC games that support controllers tend to do so poorly (although hopefully the ability to use the 360 controller will gradually change this). I really enjoy the Xbox LIVE service, since there's a lot of cool stuff you can download and play/watch with relative ease and in high resolution on a big TV. Xbox LIVE Arcade is also the best casual games provider out there, for any platform.

I'll also go ahead and admit that I really dig Achievements. Going after them adds a lot of replay value. I could careless about my gamerscore, but trying to get every achievement is just really fun on a personal level.

Inferior is subjective, why would you buy a gaming pc just for slightly better versions of those games? Why would you give up the xbox 360 exclusives for slightly better resolutions and a few mods?

Why not? I actually prefer playing games on my 360 (many of my friends own one as well; none, including myself, have a PC that can run those games). You can also play the games he listed and more if you read his post.

I could careless about my gamerscore, but trying to get every achievement is just really fun on a personal level.

good points. but they will probably just ignore everything you just said and reply with "Why not play on PC"?
