What makes you believe that?even halo 3 will go to pc eventually so there's really no point in owning a 360

Hmm let's start by naming some good 360 games.
Orange Box - Superior on PC.
Call of Duty 4 - Superior on PC.
Halo 3 - Fun online, but I played it to death to the point of boredom. Also the online community sucks.
Mass Effect - Terrific game, but spent 40+ hours and getting bored now.
Oblivion - Superior on PC.
Gears of War - Superior on PC.
Bioshock - Superior on PC.
Assasin's Creed - Was an alright game.
So aside from a 2-4 good 360 only games, what is the point in a PC gamer owning a 360? I am seriously considering selling my 360 for a Playstation 3.
Even if the PS3 sucks and has no games this year,it has a pretty decent and varied 2008 lineup. Also the free online (even if it is worse) sounds a lot better than Xbox live. Even though the PS3 has inferior multiplatform games, they are still decent.
The 360 is dead to me.

i agree, the 360 is a great value with a lot of wonderful games out already, and more in the hopper.

Halo 1 was ported to the PC
Halo 2 was also ported to the PC
but I don't really care if Halo 3 gets ported or not, since I have no intrest in that game

If you like shooters only then stick to your PC. No one cares. I noticed you didn't list any Non Shooters that is on the XBox 360, but NOT on the PC like Forza 2, PGR4, NBA 2K8, Dead Rising, Guitar Hero 2 & 3, Rock Band, Virtual Fighter 5, Burnout Revenge/Paradise, Skate, VivaPinata, Crackdown, GTA IV, Saint's Row, Codemned, Perfect Dark Zero, Kameo and many other titles that aren't on the PC.
Just stay away from game consoles.
The ps3 online is better. It just isnt standardised between games. It doesn't get any lamer than paying for a peer 2 peer connection.
Alright. From an unbiased standpoint, the 360 is an excellent console, but I would only use one if I couldn't afford a PC. That is why I own a 360. It has many good games and about 2 excellent reasons to own one in terms of games (of the strictly best, and only on 360 games). I don't see many reasons to buy one at all unless there are a couple, or one game that you really want, which happens to be exclusive too. I'd see the PC as a progression from the 360, not the other way around, simply because it shares most of it's games with PCs, all of which are better on PCs. Hopefully I should get a PC on christmas eve/boxing day and then I'll be able to catch up on all the great titles I missed.
If I was to put it bluntly, the 360 is a cheaper smaller make do PC, with little variation in its main games (FPS', or TPS').
The PS3 is a bad choice altogether sinse it was released, all the way until Sonys big guns are going to be released, simply because you could have a more or less equal experience else where for cheaper.
You could argue that the wii is the same in terms of gamespot scores, but its games are generally smaller, mini games or the ocassional nostalgic game.
Stick to PC, if you can afford one, you are living the gamers dream.
If you enjoy the console you have, why bashs the others? Okay, you have a good pc, what's the point of saying 'the 360 is dead'? Can't you just ignore the system altogether? I mean, I think we've all heard the 360vspc argument enough to know the PC has a lot of the 360 library already. If the PC is so superior, why even bother bringing the 360 up, it should be a moot comparison.

thats your opinion, and thats all it is.. I cant even begin to fathom Gears of War with mouse & keyboard! same goes for the other multi-plats. I guess It boils down to preferance.Hmm let's start by naming some good 360 games.

How old are you?PC has better graphics, better/free online, better controls and mods
360 is just a PC for children. The Ps3 is the biggest piece of crap failure in history and it has no games

I was gonna talk to you as if you was a major fan of PC but by your rant I assume this is another Cow gone crazy thread to bash the 360.
I am a PC gamer and I have a faily decent rig. I own a X360, and borrow a Wii & PS3 til I can afford one or my GF caves in and lets me get one.
But I find I love playing a lot of games on my 360 more than my PC. Why?? I dont know I have a laptop so its easy to move about and not bestuck in rooms like most peoples computer desks. I also like 360's design with achievements and socializing with friends and clan members. Its a lot easier to just move around and play different games with friends on 360 then PC at times.
I love my PC and play many RTS games a few FPS and some MOG's as well. But the 360 just for accessability and just for a quick bash is great. For me its the best console to own by far if you can only have 1.
The PS2/PS1 had a lot of greatexclusivegames but it also had many titles that were also on PC but it made them no less great.
Whenever I buy a game I have the same debate - 360 or PC. 360 usually wins though, purely as it's more comfortable on my couch than setting at my computer desk. If you're looking for the total online experience then you can't go far wrong with a 360/pc combination.
If you have a good pc then most of the 360 exclusives will be coming your way anyway so don't rule out the PS3 if you're looking for variety. The online side of things is weak but Home is on it's way and the blueray player is very cool if you have a HD tv.
PC/360 for online, PC/PS3 for variety (in the long run).
In the end it comes down to what games you play and how you want to play them. PS3 has it's high points, as does the 360. If you like gaming and have a HD tv I would definitely get atleast one of them.

Yeah the day Halo 3 is on the PC Crysis is on the 360. Just like World in Conflict, Supreme Commander, Quake Wars, Spore, etc.

Yeah the day Halo 3 is on the PC Crysis is on the 360. Just like World in Conflict, Supreme Commander, Quake Wars, Spore, etc.
And at that point, Halo 3 on the PC will be superior and faster paced than it's console version while Crysis, WiC, SupCom, ETQW, Spore will be dumbed down.
