You could, and it still wouldn't compare to the massive economic recession. Caused by, shockingly, American companies.

Weren't we talking about product quality and the ridiculousness of generalizing things like that?

Perhaps you were but I'd appreciate you not putting words in my mouth.
As regards the console the PS3 does look and sound more robust compared to my Xbox 360...but the controller is 100% better on the Xbox from my experience, it just has a solid weight to it and it doesn't sound hollow when you tap it :) Anyway have not seen the new design for the Xbox in person so maybe its on par with the PS3 now.
either way my PC destroys both ;)
The entire OP is sig worthy[QUOTE="slipknot0129"] I like 360 for its xbox live and american feelGiancarbut this This man is just pure gold It's true, American's religion isn't Christianity... It's Americanism. Sure, they saved us (NZ) back in WWII from the Japs. But they're a shadow of what they were, and in general they're pretty obsessed with America.
No disrespect to the cool Americans that realize there are in fact other countries, and that those northern European social democracies != socialism != communism != stalinism
As a xbox 360 owner does it feel weird to play ps3? When I play ps3 I dont get that xbox live feeling. I like 360 for its xbox live and american feel. It also feels weird playing games on ps3 that are better on xbox 360. Gamesdont feel home to ps3. Its probably because im so used to how great 360 is. 360 is bright and colorful and ps3 looks dull and generic. To me ps3 feels like a generic brand and 360 feels like a name brand. So ps3 would be a waste of money for me.

no offence but LOL.. just LOL
i just hope you are a 12 yr old 360 fan(boy) cause i really cant see an adult posting such nonsense.. at least i hope you are 12 or less (honestly) !!

i have no probs playin PS3 except that i prefer Xbox live to PSN. Also i have no probs with the crontoller either. But that is porbably because i played PS1 for 8 years before i got an xbox

lol, I really wish this was a joke post. I'd high five you and laugh. But....... oh well smh
I will say though that when I'm playing the 360 I always feel the need to grilled hot dogs.
as for the PS3, after a long gaming session and just crave that asian cuisine. I dunno I must be weird or something

I bought my ps3 before I bought a 360, so the 360 felt "weird" to me. It also felt cheap, from the box itself to the interface, very cluttered interface imo. That was before NXE, so I don't know how it is now. I sold it before that update happened, not enough worthwhile exclusives to keep it, and my ps3 just did everything better, from games to media to customization.
markinthedark
really? i loved the old 360 dash more than the ps3 or new 360 dash.
was incredibly simple and quick to navigate.
Then again im one of those people who covers their PC desktop in icons... i like to have everything right in front of me without having to navigate menus.
The new xbox dash looks remarkably similar to the XMB.. it sure must be cheap if the xbox took some "Inspiration" from the XMB...I dislike the too-small-for-my-hands PS controller.....blue_hazy_basicStop holding it like a 360 controller then. It isn't supposed to rest on your palms but across your fingers.

Unless the corporations in that country are overwhelmingly terrible. At that point, at least some blame has to be placed on the work ethic of that country.
Dark_Knight6
I can use the same excuse for Japan. I can point out things like this and this and start blaming the Japanese work ethic for that.
You can point out two minor examples and I can point out the massive economic recession caused by American companies. Quite a bit of difference.
how about the toyota controversy of 2010? that was by no means a "minor" example
millions of cars sold with no breaks, a 2 billion dollar recall and lives lost because of it
It isn't that at all, the 360 controller is simply better for people with large hands. I get cramps after about an hour and a half with the dual shock. I haven't met a single person with large hands that prefers the dual shock.I'll tell you this, some people that primarily play games on the 360 complain about the Dualshock controller, and I've noticed a trend, people that get accustomed to the 360 controller complain about the Dualshock, which is interesting, because the basic dualshock design hasn't changed in over a decade and dozens of Millions of gamers played comfortably with it before the Xbox brand was conceived so i can tell you that if you get a Ps3, you'll most likely feel awkward when holding the DS3 at first instead of your regular 360 controller, other than that I don't think so.
AgentA-Mi6
360 is obviously for the grade school crowd, which explains why it's bright and colorful - whereas the PS3's "generic" look is actually a sleek design aimed for the grownup, successful business people who can afford quality.Nerd_ManThis made me lol.
I own both and consoles and feel both have enjoyable games. That's why I play videogame's for the enjoyment. I am not a bias fanboy.:P
I dislike the too-small-for-my-hands PS controller.....blue_hazy_basic
I had the same problem, the PS3 controller felt small and I liked the trigger buttons better on the 360 controller so I bought an inexpensive controller that is a basic copy of the 360 one for my PS3. It has worked great for me and alleviated any issues I had with the PS3 controller.
Ps3 feels more Asian to me, when i play my 360 i have to rent the online service to unlock the multiplayer of most of my games, when i buy content of the store, i have to use points, i feel like im playing a game on facebook while doing that, when i play a game on 360, i feel like the graphics are last gen, but when i play uncharted2 i have that epic cinematic feeling which shiuld be a standard this gen. :D

I'm tall, 6'3+, I play basketball, and I love the DS3. Big hands have nothing to do with it at all as far as I'm concerned. I'm equally good with both controllers. I think they are both great, but I do dislike rechargable batteries on the 360, I've had 3 go bad on me. They were older, but it's odd.
Of course, the Dpad is my other concern, as I play 2D games and Fighting games, but other than those two issues, I love the 360 controller too.
In this day and age I'm still suprised to see people not being familar with both consoles either by owning them or having a close friend/relative with the alternative choice at their disposal.
But then again, I've always made a point to buy all the major consoles since I'm a fan of games and not systems and I surely don't want to miss out. So, No.
The only 'weird' feeling I get when using the ps3 is whenever I try to use the Interface to interact with people or go through the malnourished PSN. Feels bad
Compared to XBL and it's near perfect execution of what an Online service should look/act like.

this thread smells fishy. and what are you refering to games being bright an colorful on 360, the multiplats? I think your just playing the bad multiplat ports to be honest. Nowadays theyre isnt a color saturation difference that much anymore. And I definetly think taht if your saying "the ones that are better on 360" very few are legitametly "Better" on 360.
Again, Thread smells fishy.
I enjoy my PS3 for its Exclusives, which IMO are some of the best this gen. I also enjoy it for the other things it can do. Ive been gaming on both for over 3 eyars now, so maybe im just used to the controller differences.
I like 360 for its xbox live and american feel.slipknot0129You mean clusterbombing everything on sight and try to reason afterwards? Like most games on the 360 are? I'd say yes.
yeah it was weird to play my PS3 when I first got it. I felt like everything was low quality, I felt like a fanboy for thinking it but it was true.
then I realized I dindt have HDMI for it, so I got that and it was all good.

Yup... because paying for something just makes it better. *rolls eyes* (major sarcasm if you still didn't get it)
No, it doesn't feel weird at all. Should it? Or is this thread for 360-only owners.... :?

thats what im trying to figure out. And if you only own a 360, you probaly dont have access to a PS3 long enough for it NOT to feel different. I mean, whoda thought a different console would feel different?

The first console I owned was ps1, then ps2. It always felt as if it wasn't made for the human hand, it's design is absolutely stupid, my hands used to hurt after a good play. Had no such troubles with the 360 controller though.
My only current-generation console is a Xbox 360. Theprevioustwo generations I had a PSone and a PS2;I got a 360 a bit over a year ago because all of my friends IRL own 360s. I would have been much better off with a PS3, mostly because I don't care much for the line of 360 exclusives, and having always been with Sony I like the controller much better.
I own both (3 360s, 1 PS3 launch model) and honestly the whole interface on the PS3 is IMO, cludgy at best. There is always a delay, updates take way too long, and i'm very p-o'ed that Avatar Blu-Ray will NOT play on my PS3 - I get some BS screen saying the BR firmware needs an update even though I have the latest PS3 update.
Having said that, I do like the way it upscales DVDs and love KZ2 and the Resistance games. And I've never had an issue going from 360 to the Dualshock controller.
The interface and free online makes ps3 feel cheap to me. So you rather pay 60 a year for online when you could get it for free? *Backs away slowly*[QUOTE="Pug-Nasty"]
