As a xbox fan, the only way id get a ps4 is...

first of all, i have both an xbox 360 and ps3.. its not surprising that i prefer my xbox 360 more though. I love the games better, forza 3> GT5 (i have both) gears > killzone, and ext ext.

HOWEVER, i had great hopes for the xbox one, but its weaker than the ps4 ( can someone tell me how much weaker?) i DONT care for kinect, and it seems like MS is focusing too much on stuff other than CORE GAMING.

Well the only way id get a PS4 rather than an Xbox one is... if MS charged for playing online, and Sony didnt. I just dont want my achievement points to go to waste, and i LOVE xbox excllusives. So yeah, thats my main condition.. if they BOTH charge for online, ill most likely get an XBOX One :)

I had a 360. I was unhappy with M$'s online subscription model and refusal to make worthwhile exclusive games. I had already decided I liekly wasn;t going to get a next box, but after seeing the anti consumer practices coming with the X1 I'm definately not.

Doesn't mean it's gonna to stay that way.  PS+ is evidence enough of that.  And when a company is hurting as much as Sony has been, desperate times (you know how it ends).

The Xbox one reveal was no doubt better than the PS4 reveal.  But I'm not so stoked about what microsoft is doing with hardware and software.

I'm not known for my love of Microsoft (heck, as rarely as I login I'm not known at all), but I was genuinely interested in seeing what they brought to the table. Everything about that presentation and the news that came after tells me that it's the most anti-consumer device I've ever heard about.

Mandatory installs and online check-ins, single-use codes for games on disc and full retail price for installing a used game? Getting rid of XBLA/XBLIG and still charging people for PvP? Go home Microsoft, you're drunk.

I hope for the sake of games as an art form and as an industry that their kind of cynicism isn't rewarded and that people stay away to make it clear that their crap isn't acceptable.

They were less specific with the specs. 

They told us there is going to be at least a once a day required internet connection. 

They told us games will be locked to XBL accounts. 

The ONLY thing I can think of is they showed the physical console.

You know Microsoft does not own the Gears IP, and with a new generation starting Epic has a high probability of taking the series multiplatform.
