@mesome713:
Your lack of logic is unfathomable.
Bloodborne released almost a decade ago.
A decade ago 30 fps was fine.
After the release of PS4 Pro in 2016, X1X in 2017, multiple generations of PC GPUs, and the PS5/XSX in 2020 ... 30 fps is now unplayable. A relic from a time before. 8th gen =/= 9th gen
Do you want us to go back in time and claim Zelda: OOT is a pile of garbage? Because I remember playing it in high school in 2009 and it was fucking janky and terrible. Not to mention how its a pixelated 240p blurry mess?
Or maybe you're not supposed to judge old games by completely modern standards?
We say DMC1 is the best hack and slash game of all time (because it is) but if it had released in 2023 as it was in 2001 it wouldn't get more than 5/10 anywhere. Becayse it is absolutely outdated. Seriously look at DMC5 combat vs DMC1 combat. Its literally three generations ahead.
Times change. Standards evolve.
My favourite game of all time is in 720p (MGS4). and 15 years ago that was completely fine.
Playing TOTK in 720p in 2023 is embarrassing. Luckily I got to play it in 4K/120 on PC in 2023 instead. Starfield being 30fps is an utter disgrace. but MGS4, or TLOU or RDR2 being so is not because that was the norm/standard of their time...
In 30 years time we're going to think 4K/120 is garbage because we'll all be in our 64k/960fps VR worlds.
And mark my words, if The Last of Us 3, Bloodborne 2 or Death Stranding 2 are some how PS5 only and only 30 fps I won't be buying them. Standards people. Raise em.
