Man, did MS show ANY gameplay videos at the conference or all pre-rendered and/or CGI trailers. What are they? Sony?
Having said that, I was interested in Alan Wake when they first showed it like 3 years ago but quickly lost interest. The screen shots never seemed to look that great to me and the game was taking for ever to come out. Plus, not being a 360 owner I admit to originally being a bit ticked when MS bought exclusivity.
Now that I've seen the trailer, I am going to give kudos to 360 owners. Game looks and feels amazing. I'm impressed and it makes me want a 360. Although part of me DOES wonder how much of this trailer was 360 and how much was on PC and how much was rendered. Other than that, the look and feel of the game gives me that feeling I had when Silent Hill first came out.

all the gameplay MS showed off was gameplay, and in realtime. Forza III gameplay, Alan Wake gameplay, SC gameplay, only thing that was CGI was crackdown.
Thanks. I missed the live show and was relying on recaps and highlites which only seemed to show trailer type footage. I just watched the show and they did show a lot of good stuff. Alan Wake does look great in motion.
I've never really cared or been impressed by MS's shows. I'm a PS3 and Nintendo fan. But after watching this show, MS has really thrown down the gauntlet. It will be tough for Nintendo or Sony to top them. They did an amazing job of showing celebrities, gameplay, drawing attention to both multiplat and exclusive content equally, had some surprise announcements and new innovations. I'm no MS fan (or 360 owner), but this was the ideal show in my opinion. E3 has sucked for years and this is the first time in a LONG time someone did it right.
Nice work to MS. I'm impressed.
