Just curious to see where everyone stands thus far. Resistance 3 and Crysis 2 are tied for me. If I had to pick one... oooooooooooo... Resistance 3.

Where's the "They all suck" option?
DarkLink77
Right next to the "Halo Reach is an overrated piece of crap" option :D
Crysis 2 I guess since that's the only one I played through :Psoulitane
Hm, now that I think about it this was probably a poor time to make the poll, considering a lot of people have yet to give R3 a try. Should have waited a week or two.

Quite the joke coming from someone who likes Crysis 2 and Resistance 3. :lol:Crysis 2 sucks. KZ3 was good. Resistance 3 haven't played yet. Homefront played a little and got bored. Bulletstorm haven't played yet. I choose not to vote :P.TheGuardian03
Why does Crysis 2 suck? Just want to hear your thoughts on this :P
It certainly wasn't great, or even really good, but It's still a relatively good game. Has plenty of issues though.
Having Homefront as one of the options is a disgrace to FPS. Homefront is probably amongst the worst shooters (along with others) of the past 10 years

I bet it stays that way too. CoD will be the same damn thing it was last year. BF3 will trip over it's own feet while trying to escape CoD's shadow. Halo: A looks like it doesn't add anything new to Halo: CE 'cept for updated graphics. RAGE... actually looks decent...
[QUOTE="Crazyguy105"]Dont even joke about thatBrink of course. :P

I can't help it. I have to joke about it. I was one of those that hyped the game up to be GOTY 2011.

*Cries* i told you not to mention it!I haven't played any of those. Huh.
It's probably Bulletstorm, though.
EDIT: Actually I played demos/betas of all those. Bulletstorm was the only one that seemed fresh.

RAGE will be good, probably the best one. It has s*** for competition this year, though.Dont even joke about that[QUOTE="kris9031998"][QUOTE="Crazyguy105"]

I know that feel, The debut Trailer got me hooked and the Game play vids set me in. But the final product...... :(Having Homefront as one of the options is a disgrace to FPS. Homefront is probably amongst the worst shooters (along with others) of the past 10 years
Crystal-Rush
I was trying to decide between putting that, Brink, or F3AR as the 5th option on the poll. Seeing as how all 3 look like crap, I figured it wouldn't matter and just randomly chose Homefront :?
I only played through Bulletstorm and one hour of Crysis 2, which I enjoyed.
I've been tired of shooters for the most part.
Oh look DarkLink is stating his opinion likes its fact.... again....
Anyways IMO Resistance 3 (finished the SP) is the best shooter of 2011 so far. I was underwhelmed by Killzone 3 but it was still good. Crysis 2 got codified. Bulletstorm didnt really hold my attention for along time although I can understand why people will hold it in high regards.
You also didnt put FEAR 3 there, IMO, despite what reviewers say FEAR 3 was pretty good (not scary like the first though) and the multiplayer was pretty unique and fun, despite buggy.

Its just no fun, boring and the gunplay isn't good at all, they took the suit from crysis 1 and changed it, stealth kills are good though.I admit, it was dull a lot of the time, and nothing stood out about the core gameplay - average gunplay like you said. Still, the night levels were awesome, and the last few area's before the end were really good. Not to mention the soundtrack was really good as well.
I say 7.5.
Of all those I played (all of them other then the entirety of Resistance 3), I'd have to say Killzone 3.
Bulletstorm was fun, but it was pretty buggy for me and I had to restart an entire level twice because of an AI glitch, and beat the game with only one gun when my weapon selection glitched and I couldn't use the D-Pad.
Homefront was pretty bland, the mp was hectic fun though I'll admit.
Resistance 3 I haven't beaten yet so its not fair to choose it without knowing more, but admittedly the MP is not as fun as R2's was.
Crysis 2 was really fun, but the tacked on, laggy MP killed it for me and it also could have been more open like the first I think.
So Killzone 3, because the multiplayer was incredibly fun, the campaign was more varied and colorful (with great AI to boot), and the co-op was... well, it existed.
Oddly out of all of those games, the best FPS I've played this year that I haven't before was Singularity. The fiction was well done and I'm shocked Activision just let it slide by without good marketing.
Fear 3 was much better than Homefront. Just saying.
Anyway, Resistance 3. I really enjoyed the game, don't get me wrong, but the only reason it's taking the best nod right now is because it's the freshest in my memory. I have no doubt that Rage will be my favorite though. Serious Sam 3 or Hard Reset might surprise but I just don't see id letting me down.

SPYDER0416
I just played Singularity for the first time a couple weeks ago and loved it. Raven is such an awesome developer. Wolfenstein was pretty fun too and the Quake 4 campaign is the definition of "underrated". Singularity was great and has loads of potential as a franchise but nope, it was ignored by Activision.

But yeah, Singularity had my favorite FPS campaign of the past couple years, easy. Not the most original gameplay or story, but what it set out to do, it did splendidly.

And its not really worth going back to after you finish it, overall agreed average game with beautiful graphics, Halo 3 and KZ2 now those are real shooters that i enjoy :P.Agreed. Kinda why I say 7.5 instead of 7, at least it has teh graphics. :P
And Killzone 2 is for men. 8)
:P

I'm not big on FPS' so I'm one of the last few to bother with said question.:P However out of both Crysis 2 and Resistance 3, I'd pick R3 because of how good it is.:) Who woulda thought the 3rd time was the charm for me?
