As Kinect draws closer who is getting excited about it...

That day is going to be great for me at least. Anyone share these feelings, and do you think Kinect will have a shot to play truly amazing games? I do, and my fav Kinect Hub. Discuss as you all know im the king of KINECT...

im very excited. i figure it will take 6 months before microsoft realizes it has to have some kind of controller with it or decides they messed up and signs a bunch of companies to make games they should be making in the first place.

Not particularly excited, but I'm looking forward to Dance Central. Certainly not excited to spend $150 on a device I'll probably only use for one game.

is anyone actually excited for this crap??? (same with move btw) i wish these companies would just get down to evolving the gaming formula instead of chugging out this motion stuff and bloody ports, i started playing deus ex last week (released in 2000) and its got more features and content than any modern game (except for a few on the pc) its sad that the only thing that has evolved is graphics the scale and content is actually less in games these days :(

Im not really excited about the hardware although I am a little bit hypedfor the "panzer Dragoon" game. I put that in quotes because IDK if it will actually be called that, it may just be a spiritual succesor.

steel batalion(thats the name right?) looks cool although like the guys on I believe the giantbomb said I would much rather have them done a new mechassault instead since Steel batallion was known for its many buttoned controller, and well going from that to free motion is just...weird.

Kinect is meh at best. Lack of hardcore games makes it a no buy.

Yes I'm so excited to get Kinect. I'm so excited to give my xbox voice commands when I can do it faster with my controller. I'm so excited to mess around with what is basically the HD version of the Wii dashboard. With my HD nintendo Mii. Heh Microsoft doesn't have an original bone in it's body. What I TRULY am excited about is seeing 360 fanboys defend the "kiddy" and casual games they once picked on Nintendo for having. It's always entertaining to see the company people support make them out to be hypocrites.

Move looks to be much the same thing what with the "It seems cool but what am I supposed to do with it exactly?" factor. But at least it mitagates that some by not being expensive as ****.

Not nearly as much though. I mean the PS3 does have LBP, MNR and even Ratchet, which could all be considered "kiddy".

i am. im gonna try andsell 38 360games on ebay for 300 bucks. then im gonna add a extra 100 and buy the 250 kinect bundle.

I'm with you on this one ProjectNatalFan.

Though it should be known by now many here on SW that I've been excited for Kinect since it was unveiled.

Hey I'm more exicted for Kinect, but I still got Move regardless of its poor launch.

I plan on getting the Windows version of Kinect as well.

I'm not entirely excited about the modern day Powerglove.

well the hub may become very useful- and focusing and centralising all things Kinect.

May makes game searches, updates, options and info easier.

The Kinect Sales overall will have a positive effect on the Xbox360.

It will hopefully attract more people to buying an Xbox360 outside of the usual core audience (Minus Fanboys of course) and increase the Xbox360 install base.

Encourage publishers to make more games for the Xbox360 -DLC, Genres, exclusives etc..

Developers (Particularly indie developers) to force them to make a wider range of diverse games.

Genres like FPS, Racing, TPS, WRPGS do well on the Xbox360 anyway and this would give no reason for publishers to stop making these kind of games, but with tht ekind of audience Kinet will attract it may open up another segment of the market on the Xbox360 that pubishers/developers can makes games for too!

To increase the Xbox360 install base even more

Demographic includes not only core gamers but also "Casual" Gamers

Publishers/developers see bigger install base and wider audience make more games and diversify

because we have heard the complaints that games are too much the same

Microsoft relies on Shooters to much

not enough game creativity
