As Kinect draws closer who is getting excited about it...

well the hub may become very useful- and focusing and centralising all things Kinect.

May makes game searches, updates, options and info easier.

The Kinect Sales overall will have a positive effect on the Xbox360.

It will hopefully attract more people to buying an Xbox360 outside of the usual core audience (Minus Fanboys of course) and increase the Xbox360 install base.

Encourage publishers to make more games for the Xbox360 -DLC, Genres, exclusives etc..

Developers (Particularly indie developers) to force them to make a wider range of diverse games.

Genres like FPS, Racing, TPS, WRPGS do well on the Xbox360 anyway and this would give no reason for publishers to stop making these kind of games, but with tht ekind of audience Kinet will attract it may open up another segment of the market on the Xbox360 that pubishers/developers can makes games for too!

To increase the Xbox360 install base even more

Demographic includes not only core gamers but also "Casual" Gamers

Publishers/developers see bigger install base and wider audience make more games and diversify

because we have heard the complaints that games are too much the same

I never thought I would buy move but after trying it out I couldn't pass it up when I found a great price on the net. I bought the PS3 $99 move bundle and $49 move controller for $105+tax(with 30% coupon code) and then also got $35 gift cards toward a future ps3 game purchase at Kmart through the mygofer.com site. The 30% code is dead now.

If I can try out Kinect while liking it and find a similar deal I might buy that too.

If I only owned an xbox? I'd be effing pissed that this thing is getting the amount of marketing it is. It's truly the proposed plan for the 360 lifespan.

I've got a Wii and Move and you have to wave your hands around sometimes.

Actually some people can look even more stupid just sitting there playing a game with their mouths open with a dumb look on their face.

i will get excited when I have something to be excited about. EVERY Kinect game at launch...EVERY SINGLE ONE doesnt even come remotely close in any shape fashion or form to look worth getting Kinect....More so at that price.

already have a wii for all my casual motion gaming needs. No need for a second motion 'detector' when the Wii has a better variety of games...sadly not even interested in 1 kinect title so I don't even have an excuse to buy it for one game. and not going to spend 150 bucks (or 200 - whatever it is) just to 'simplify' my menu browsing experience lol..

I am excited because it's a new way of playing games. This could be a step into something like the future of interacting with computers like in that movie Minority Report. :o

Except all that knowing the future before it happens stuff. :P

Only ppl I know excited about Kinect are the cows who are salivating to bash the launch titles scores.

I swear I wouldn't have thought so but in the last months or so I am pretty pumped to try out even the launch games though I think for me the thrill will be gone all too soon, I'm believing games like Steel Battalion, Panzer & SEGA's announced horror game will get me back to hyped again once they get close to launch.

It doesn't hurt either that since I've got a original early 2006 20 gig, I plan on buying the 360 S Kinect bundle so a spanking new 360 S with 250 gig HDD makes me pumped as well. :)

The more I see of Kinect, the more I know this tech is far too immature to be fielded effectively. Oh, I'm sure you get an initial throng of mindless buyers who fall for shiny new things, but that's about it. DerekLoffin
