Technically, the 360 controller will be the least capable, since it lacks the motion/tilt-sensing of the other controllers.
That doesn't mean that it is the worst controller - I'm just saying that it's obviously the least capable of the three.

Didn't they announce rumble at TGS? Doesn't this thread title specifically say 'as of 2008'?

Yes, but the thread asks which is the least capable controller. SIXAXIS is different to the DualShock3.
I love technicalities.

Heh, true.
Then again, that makes the Sixaxis and 360 controllers roughly equal - one has 'tilt-sensing' without rumble, the other has rumble without tilt-sensing.
[QUOTE="ThisIsSW"][QUOTE="amorbis1001"]lol the horizontaly analog stick on the ps3 make it utter crap even with rumble. and the gimick motion sensitivity make it even more utter crap.PSP107
LMAO. Horizontally parallel analog sticks is the optimal placement. It simply doesn't make sense to put one stick in the upper left corner and the other in the lower right. That's just plain awkward.
Finally someone agrees. I do not like xbox offset analogs
I also agree, racing/sport/fighters are horrible with the offset stick placement. wonder why all pc contolers use the ps2 layout.

LOL are you kidding me, playing fps and other games on ps3 is like poking a eye out, it hurts, my fingers keep jamming into each other. diagonal FTW
playing fps with a game pad is horrible let along rtsso why bother arguing?
[QUOTE="Willy105"]It is true, horizontal analogs don't work very well.
Diagonal analogs have a better sense of balance. One for moving and one for camera.
They are identical in the Playstation controller, which is why it makes the controller so hard to use and unintuitive.

The fact of the matter is, dualshock hasn't changed much since the days of PS1Dual Analogue. Look how much the Nintendo controller has changed since NES.

Seriously... you lemmings have to be making that jamming fingers stuff up. I have relatively big hands... i haven't encountered this problem. I really think lemmings don't know how to put their fingers on analog sticks or something.
omg I have big hands and this problem occurs often, my finger also slips as I have sweaty palms and those analog sticks doesn't have grip. I am a big fan of the original xbox phat controller that which shows my hands are large.
ok for fps the 360 is best (if you must play with the inferior controls) but for everything else dual shock is best

You just lost it there.
lost what where, about the phat. I guesschildren with small hands would prefer that crappy sixaxis and dual shock as for me I prefers a real mans contorller.
the real mans controls is keyboard and mouse

not everyone is the same dude, and the one time I played socom I kept banging my fingers, depends on how you keep your thumb on the sticks, some people use the tips of the thumb and others use their thumbs flat on the top with a little sticking out, so yes its possible to clash those pretty little thumbs, either way it never happens with the 360 controllers. not to say the PS3 controllers suck, but I prefer the sticks on the 360.

Re-fixed :)
In 2008:
X360: Dual analog, rumble
PS3: Dual analog, motion sensing, rumble,*pressure sensitve bottons*(although the orginal xbox controller also had this feature, they cut back cost and took the feature out of the 360 version)
Wii: Motion sensing, rumble, audio
