What you don't understand is that to people who aren't hardcore gamers a console that has a lot of other cool features is more appealing than a console that just plays games.  The  XBOne will do all the things that the PS4 can do but then it goes past that.  To someone who doesn't play games 10+ hours a week why would they buy a console that just does that?  So it can sit their unused like their Wii or PS3?  No they want something that they can get the most use out of.  Yes to the core gamer (who doesn't own a gaming PC) the PS4 is the obvious choice.  But the world isn't made up of core gamers.  There are a lot more demographics out their.   People tend to have blinders on here in SW and look at everything from a hardcore gamer's point of view but that just isn't what the world really is.  

Either way the XBOne doing well shouldn't offend you just like the Wii doing well shouldn't offend you.  If you feel it is not the product for you then don't buy it.  But lets not act like it is not an intriguing device to other people even if all they want to do is simply voice control their TV.

honestly all speculation on both console prices have been just that, speculation.  I've hear all sorts of things from "insiders" from it will cost $599 to it will cost $299.  We really don't know.  I'm guess anywhere from 300-500 for both consoles.   But honestly we don't know.

then why don't you have a PC?  Better graphics, better OS, better multiplats, more games, more versitile than the PS4 (you could argue the XBOne is more versitile) better control options, MODs, customization.  Sounds like you should join the Master Race and take control of your gaming life instead of eating whatever one of the big 3 feeds you for better or for worst.

Crazy to think people are already pre-ordering but it isn't a surprise considering you have the 360 which was dirt cheap and everyone went down that route and esp in the uk, alot of people here have just stuck with the 360 and the next thing to do is go on to the xbox one and many wont know about the stuff whats been happening.

The problem is the mind set of dirt cheap has stuck in the minds for alot of people and even here on gamespot, many people think the ps4 is going to cost more :S even tho the hardware this time around is alot cheaper than when the ps3 came out, and for me personally i see both consoles coming out at around the same price, but looking at the stat's ps3 has over taken the 360 even with the 360 having a whole year head start, so this is nothing as of yet, me personally haven't pre order anything yet and i will be putting my pre order once i know the price and after E3.
