Assassins creed halhalla announced

I just was expecting more since it's a next gen title well next week there will gameplay footage most likely at that xbox event. Still LMAO that Phil Spencer said next gen will be as big of a leap from 2-D to 3-D lol.

PC wise there will be more game that push hardware to limit.

Im pretty sure age of empire 4 will be most ambitious RTS game back by millions of budget by microsoft.

It’s great to see that this will be another game that’ll support Microsoft’s Smart Delivery. If you buy the game on Xbox One then it’ll automatically upgrade to Xbox Series X when you get that system.

It’s a cross gen title though. So they need to hold back some I guess. We’ll see next week. That Spencer quote is laughable regardless haha.

If I insert my PS4 disc of TLOU2 and Ghost of Tsushima on PS5 it should run better too. I'm not buying another version 6 months later. Why can't Sony be 'smart' like Microsoft?

Even Assassin Creed: Rogue which was a last gen title when it was released looked really, really good.

For all Ubisofts faults, and as shit as this series is, their art-team are always on point.

Been thinking of getting back into Assassin's Creed. Any recommendations? I have only played Assassin's Creed 2 and Brotherhood and that was about 10 years ago.

@omegamaster: Origins just has a great setting and the most refined gameplay. So I'd recommend that one over any other.

I was a big fan of Unity too. But only get that game if you can play on PC. It's 24fps on consoles...

I look forward to it, I have been playing a lot of Odyssey lately and love it.

First AC game I'm actually interested in playing since Revelations. There's lots of viking games out there, but not very many as historical fiction, and even less that are high budget with the Ubi treatment.

I know it's amazing but I am pretty sure that Ubisoft will make even Vikings history boring and generic the same way they have made boring and generic so far Egipt history, Greece, French and American revolutions

Odyssey is my favorite in the series, so hoping this will be more of the same

You are probably the first person to ever say this.

AC2 had undoubtedly superior visuals to the first one. Character models have never been the series' strong suit but its environment graphics/design are among the very best.

Just get Ghost of Tsushima cause that's as close as your gonna get to a Feudal Japan.

That is true but I think Hellblade does it right because you are a proud Celt while killing the worthless scums. Either way, I'm hype for Valhalla. (Even Hellblade 2 & God of War 5 as well)

I think these games are so far away from the og AC series. I enjoyed the Desmond story and lost interest after revelations.

AC Revelations, for closure to the Ezio and Altair story arcs.

AC4 Black Flag and AC Origins, the best AC games since AC2.

The two games that moved the series forward the most, and in the best ways.

If this is yet another huge move forward than I expect to see great things for Valhalla.

I hope they can improve sidequest-quality, parkour (it’s not as cool anymore) and stealth. Not a small task, but if anyone is up to it it’s them!

Indeed and just to add; the Studio behind Black Flags/Origins/Valhalla are the very same who debuted the franchise: Ubisoft Montreal (in my hometown :D)

"Enemies can work together to take you down". No. What will happen is that one enemy will attack you, while all the others will be turning around you and do nothing. This is AC we're talking about. 16 years of the same trash. And asking side quests to improve in the blandest open world game around, is like asking for CDPR to fail CP2077, its just not happening.
