ASTRO BOT - Announcement trailer!

Thought this warranted its own thread - after all, it's Sony's only first party exclusive for 2024! How are we feeling about this? Seems like a return to form for Sony, hopefully we get more of the old Sony back.

Enjoyed Astrobot 2020 even though it was short. Can't wait for this one

Everyone in my house wants this one already, it's gonna be popular here. I've been wanting more after completing the previous games.

Astro Bot was the highlight for me, besides Ragnarok coming to PC, Astro Bot really looks so much fun, it'll be a day one purchase.

(Does it really matter if PS5 games are 1st-party or 2nd-party despite coming to PC later? I think not, because they're console exclusives)

Honestly this looks AWESOME. I love well made 3D platformers that focus on fun and gameplay diversity, and this game has tons of that!

First Sony game I am excited for since forever honestly!

This had me pretty excited but then I saw the underwater swimming and I got reminded of the golden days of 3D platformers:

Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie

I don't think Astro should play dress up as other Playstation IP, like Sackboy does, but other than that this looks fine.

I remember when crap like astrobot were games shown amongst a 2 minute quick look at AA,indies and smaller games in a hour long sony showcase...now they are the best thing at the show apparently..

Should've been a PSVR 2 game or atleast had an optional VR mode .

Hopefully it's less of a gimmicky Dual Sense tech demo then Astro's Playroom.

I am not a fan of Sony, but I really hope this game does well. It feels like a return to PS1/PS2 era Sony, and I couldnt be happier.

Looks good. Except for that really cringy song near the start. Sounds like that Nvidia AI generated blerg a couple of years ago. Yes: we get it. You're Astro Bot. No need to go on and on about it. Hopefully it's not in the game :S.

But the game itself looks like good fun. As I mentioned in the main thread though: I suspect this one is never coming to the PC. Just a baseless hunch on my part but I suspect it's not happening. If it does come tough i will be sure so pick it up.

Zero interest in buying due to I think platformers suck but even I am impressed by the trailer. These kind of cheerful vibrant color been missing from Sony in years and I kind of smiled when I watched the trailer during the showcase. Reminded me of back when Sony used to do these weird games like Puppeteer, Gravity Rush and even Little Big Planet.

Wait, i thought cows didn't liked Super Mario ... this is basically Super Mario for PS5 and suddenly they love it ? lol ...

The other two games were outstanding and I'm actually looking forward to this.

It looked good in the trailer; seems to be inspired from Galaxy & (the good parts of) Sunshine.

Looks cool. Really enjoyed the astrobot games.

Between Astro Bot & Infinity Nikki; I am so happy I keep myself out of the Playstation ecosystem. It is the biggest waste of money that I can think of. PS5 is for woke industry marks. PC will always be better.
