[QUOTE="Greyhound222"]Could anybody give me a summary on what the gamepplay is like? From the review it's hard to make out.cobrax25
its a racing / puzzle game that creates tracks around any piece of music you choose.
Just watch a video over on youtube.
Okay,so it's like Trackmania/Guitar Hero mix sort of thing? EDIT:Just watched a video, and it looks like the hardest game ever.[QUOTE="cobrax25"][QUOTE="Greyhound222"]Could anybody give me a summary on what the gamepplay is like? From the review it's hard to make out.Greyhound222

Okay,so it's like Trackmania/Guitar Hero mix sort of thing? EDIT:Just watched a video, and it looks like the hardest game ever. There are several different types of modes to choose from between easy medium and hard. It's as easy as you want it to be. Mono seems to be the favorite game mode where it's only one color to hit and you avoid the grey blocks, very fun.
Allready played all 4 songs in the demo and I'm SO going to buy this!
Heck here's a pc game that even the most diehard lemmings and cows will probably like! ;) :

ONE VERY IMPORTANT NOTE:
These vids (and most net posted vids) are using "mono" character which is very different from the others. While other characters have many colors of blocks mono only has one. (greys are to avoid and are not present on other characters).
So other characters are way more complicated and deep.
Each also has it's own strategy and abilities. For example, pointman can pickup blocks and powerups to use later (and drop on any of the lanes), and eraser can "clean" your lanes of any one color.
Anyway, be sure to check the demo on steam. It's very good :)
PS: Yes it may be a game for music lovers but there are very few people that don't like music :)
BTW, there's an update for the game when you start STEAM, it automatically updates for you, gotta love STEAM. BTW, there's rumble support for the X360 controller for all you console fans.
Here's the patch notes:
An update has been released via steam for Audiosurf, and will be downloaded automatically when the steam client is restarted.

that made no sense
Not a fan of rhythm games, but it looks kinda fun. Anyone know if it supports FLAC and Monkey's Audio?Velocitas8Just tried it with FLAC, and it worked 100%. You might not have as much competition on the leaderboards with that, though haha.
[QUOTE="Lonelynight"]Do you play it using the keyboard? Like just hit the key when a colour appear?cobrax25
its not like guitar hero, its a racing game / puzzle game.
You can play it with the keyboard if you want to, actually.. 1-2-3 instantly jumps from lane to lane. Most people play with the mouse, though.Check out this awesome read over at RPS, my favorite news aggregate/blog:

After playing three songs, I'm hooked. Excellent game.
One question though: most of my music I bought off iTunes, which doesn't work with the game. Will it work if I burn the songs I want onto a CD, and then import them back into iTunes??
Also, I'm liking how I got the HL2 soundtracks, Portal, etc with the demo :D

There is a way to get Itunes songs to work, its listed in the "hints" thing...they dont work because of DRM, but their is some sort of workaround.
[QUOTE="Storm_Marine"]Never heard of it. >_>Neoguru25Same. Does it have something to do with Audioslave?
It can......as in you can play their songs in audiosurf(great band btw). But seriously read the previous posts in this thread, they have explained it several of times.

audioslave's songs work really well in the game, especially in ninja mono.
