You could also say that the French 360 launch was a disaster, after all the ps3 preorders nearly doubled that of the 360 and the same can be said for Europe. People need to start realising a launch isn't terribly important after all the dreamcast was the fastest selling console in Europe till the DS came out. The DC launched with a 10.0 and a 9.9 and look where that ended up 2 years down the line.

Sony ruled by a mile in Australia last gen but both 360 and Wii had better launch sales. It's just a simple fact. IT COSTS TOO MUCH. Just like the original xbox that had a price drop of $250 in 3 months.

well apparently the Xbox 360 is pretty popular in Australia- when it launched it broke records etc (the Wii has probably broke those by now tho) so maybe its not unexpected that the PS3 has had a poor showing in Australia.

and yeah, ouch...for Sony. If they are not doing well in those countries then the risk of losing MGS4 anf FF is very real now.
