Avatars but from Home, because you can actually use them to walk around & they perform different gestures. You can make them fugly just to prank people as well. & you can hold nine different avatars on your PSN in Home. Also you can dance & join the Old Snake Clan :PSonyMarksman70Sorry for not putting Home on here :(
Mii's
Avitars are just an exuse for MS to capture casuals.
Gh0st_Of_0nyx
i agree with that, but i did enjoy creating my avatar..

Yeah but Miis are not in HD. 8)

[QUOTE="Waffle_Fish"]Avatars have more features but I am going to say Miis because Avatars are a blatant copy of miisJustinge3But Avatars copied miis and made it better.
Yeah becuase no one used avatars before Nintendo. They invented em(with help from Al Gore)

A lot of the hair/eye features are extremely similar if not the same. Im probably making it sound like a bigger deal than it is.
Also, Avatars look kinda awkward and weird

like the seven dwarfs.
They are both the same, who cares? Avatars have been all over the internet since 3d images could be generated in a web browser.
MS only ripped off what Nintendo made successful, sort of like how everyone is ripping of live once it became successful.
In both cases the PC was the true innovator.
Both suck
But mii's areobviously much better. They have a goofy charmt hat avatars don't have and avatars looks creepy as well as being a ripoff of Mii's
I prefer the avatars, they have a lot more customization and look much better (IMO). Microsoft says that along down the line achievments will unlock you clothing for them, and that could could be able to buy clothes for them (lol). But thats my opinion no don't flame me if you believe otherwise :)Justinge3
No, avatars certainly do not. Haven't you checked out that crazy mii channel? There are darth vader mii's, pac man mii's, admiral ackbar and all sorts of crazy crap. I could be mistaken(and in which case, avatars is not user friendly), but avatars features cannot be manipulated.. with mii's you can change the location of things on a face, you can change the size and also the orientation. Sure, avatars have more accessories, more facial hair options, and more wrinkle options.. but it sucks that you cannot change the orientation/position of the important features. Me and my fiance had no problem creating mii's that we felt resembled us, but avatars was another issue.. it felt way to limited.
Anyways. I like both for different reasons. Avatars are kind of creepy looking, with their bad posture and ridiculous hands, but they are colourful and clean looking. I like being able to put some clothes on them too, it's a good way of personalizing them a little more.. though at the moment those options are still very limited(and where's my fedora! how'm i supposed to be indy?! :D).
I like mii's because you can be very creative with them. I made a Juuhachigou(#18) that i'm very proud of! I also like how simple they are in presentation, how user friendly they are, and how you can get everyone involved in the process.
when it comes down to it, i prefer mii's right now(NXE is still, well.. new.. so this could change). My mii looks more like me then my avatar, but i do appreciate the avatar's better clothing and cleaner look.
EDIT: Oh, i also lilke being able to check out my friends avatars really easily from the friends list. That's cool. But then again, i guess the wii does have the mii parade!
There's way more options for the Mii's faces. But the most important thing Mii's have over Avatars? Mii's came out two years. They were useless then. They're useless now. Avatars won't even be fun for five minutes. Both are gimmicks. This entire gen has been adding features that don't serve the actual games. M$ has no idea what they're doing with their system. This just shows that even more. They just copy what the popular competition is doing. 360 is such a "hardcore" console, yet it forces you to create a cute Mii even if you don't want too. Way to be different M$... dr-venkmanwow you don't know what your talking about. Avatars serve as a purpose in gaming. When Primtime comes out next year you will see.
All I know is that I can't make my Mii look like my Avatar.
Also Avatars just came out, so expect more customization later on.
Although I like making numerous Miis and I wish I could make more than one Avatar on one profile.
NXE Avatars > Miis > Home Avatars
Â
you can play A Kingdom for Kiflings, UNO and some other game with your Avatars. it just came out today, give it some time.mii's becuase it fits the wii and actually used in games like wiisports
avartars are lame whats the point.

Being one of the first "Master Mii Artisans" myself, I would have to say miis are WAY better than avatars. Not only were Nintendo the pioneers for making gaming avatars, but they made them a lot more fun and open to far more possibilities. Just take a look for yourself at some of the creations I was able to invent using the mii editor:
Â
Â
If that wasn't enough, take a gander at my most prized creation, and one that could never be done on the 360 avatar system:
Â
So yeah, from a creative standpoint, Miis are way better.

It doesn't end the thread, though I like those Wii FACES. While you can customize your Avatars from HEAD to TOE.

That just gives MS the opportunity to rip you off even more with DLC for shoes and hats and other useless crap. Miis are more to the point and can still have different outfits depending on the game.

The thing is you never have to be ripped off because they're not forcing you to pay for useless crap. These Avatars just came out today so I'm pretty sure they'll have more Avatar Games and games that can actually win you real life prizes.

I took a gander at the 360 avatars today, and nothing special. I guess they can be more useful with the online community 360 has as opposed to the Wii's.
But I have had more fun creating Mii's. It's fun having the freedom of creating impressions of so many of your favorite people or fictional characters, and getting a kick out of it. Also Mii's are already integrated in so many games, so we know how they are used. We have yet to see anything from avatars.
I think most of all, I love my Playstation Home character. You can actually make them look close enough to what you look like, having them the most realistic avatars of the three.
