There is more you can do with the Miis right now. There is many games that the Miis are used with and then you have the channels which use them. I love how you can make Miis which look like Stromtroppers, Kenny, cats, Mario and so on.
Then I also like the trading Miis with others being able to have other peoples Miis in a Parade. Plus it is mush easier to make a lot of Miis compared to making a lot of Avatars.

Both are worthless-Master_St3ve-
No, there are many games which use the Miis and I sure there will be many for the Avatars. I rather use Miis or Avatars I have already designed than something like Buzz or other game where you use one really bad looking Characters.Â
Being one of the first "Master Mii Artisans" myself, I would have to say miis are WAY better than avatars. Not only were Nintendo the pioneers for making gaming avatars, but they made them a lot more fun and open to far more possibilities. Just take a look for yourself at some of the creations I was able to invent using the mii editor:

If that wasn't enough, take a gander at my most prized creation, and one that could never be done on the 360 avatar system:

So yeah, from a creative standpoint, Miis are way better.

Dang that is nice...My Wife and Son love to design Miis also. Nintendo did a really good job allowing them to become almost an art. You can spend a hour or more making one just right. Which I am sure you have. Â

Wow I have no idea how to do any of that with the Mii system.
They are both equally stupid and worthless. Bread_or_Decide
There are many games which use Miis and I am sure many games which use the Avatars rather than some lame looking Characters that come with many games. The idea to design one and use it in many games works out very well. I like how when you are playing games like Wiisports you whole field is made up of other Miis you have designed. Or when your playing the trivia game on the Wii "I forget the name" you play has your Mii well the computer is playing as other Miis you have designed.

It takes a long time. Some my watch Youtube and make some of those and then use thoses ideas to make my own. Between me and my family we have like a 100 Miis most of them self designed.
Here is a Youtube video to make Kenny Mccormick from south park. Watch what they do to make him. I have to say I was expecting the Avatars to have a lot more features. Â
In terms of functionality, it seems that the Avatars have a greater reach. They're part of the interface and can be seen on Xbox.com as well in our forum sigs. In the end, they benefit from Xbox Live's infrastructure.
As far as who did what first.... who friggin' cares? It's clear that MS copied, but they also made the idea better.Â
Avatars are better imo because you can customise clothes etc. and they have arms.
But Miis are the original, and because avatars are suck a blatant copy of Miis, my vote goes to Miis.
Avatars are in the sweet spot and right in the middle, they're not too kiddy like Miis and they're not too serious like Home Avatars, they're just right. Although I like how you could manipulate the position of facial features with the Miis. So the Miis facials are the only thing you could really customize while you could customize your entire Avatar. And you could make them look like this, a butta face:
Neither, but at least Nintendo did not shamelessly rip-off the concept like Microsoft did. I just downloaded the new 'Xbox Experience' a few minutes ago, and found myself laughing heartily when the first thing I was introduced to is the avatar selection screen, followed by the customization features. Needless to say, I was not very impressed. I did make one for the hell of it though.
Now the new layout looks very slick, I really like it. Although it will take some getting used to. However, those avatars, just.... what a rip-off, if I have ever seen one. I am sure plenty of kids, as well as other folks will eat it up though, so more power to them, lol.
Avatars. They have arms.UptownLOL True. But I don't even care about the extra content, all I care about is games because the 360 and the Wii is a gaming console after all.
I prefer wii, because they arn't really even trying to look real or serious, and you cna make them look so funnyÂ
Â
I tryed to make my avatar look cool, then I tried to make him look funny, and I failed at both, plus Avatars look so repetative I'd seen alot of avatars what look the same but Mii's I always see a different one they just are so customizable.
