Awesome games with disappointing final bosses? (obvious minor spoilesr!)

Did you play Halo 3? That takes the cake for me. That was worse than any boss fight I've had in a long time and I'm still trying to think of a worse boss I've had to play than that, but out of over hundreds of games I've played, that was definitely the lamest.

Yep. Which is why you really can't compare Halo 2's final boss to Halo 3. Not only is Halo 3 the worst final boss in the Halo series but without a doubt one of the worst final bosses of all time.

I do agree with Demon's Soul's having a very disappointing final boss. All the other bosses in the game get continiously harder and you really think that the final boss is gonna be harder than anything you fought before and instead they just give you a turd.

The guy that said Killzone 2, seriously? Try beating it on veteran or elite, its one of the hardest bosses I've faced this gen. The entire level is balls to the wall difficult.

On topic. I recently finished GeOW2 ... Boy was i dissapointed, especially after the final boss on GeOW.

I do have a criteria, but both of those things aren't apart of it.

Batman Arkham Asylum, Awesome game, disappointing boss, hell, even Poison Ivy was better and it wasn't really that great.

I'm agree with the pope dude, but i actually liked the savior.

I forgot mass effect and bayonetta, before the climax.

Even though I'm not a big fan of bayonetta,I did find the last boss cool (even though Jubileus power was overatedin the game).

On topic,I would go with Mass Effect. There was no bosses in the game,and when they decided to make Saren a boss,hes the easisest enemy to kill in the entire game.Thats one thing i hope Bioware changes in Mass Effect 2,(3 days for it :D)

Demon's Souls did have a pretty bad final boss fight. I mean, I don't think it even should be classified as a boss fight. I remember when I first played the game, I was all amped up and ready for a good fight, especially after finishing the epic battle with False King; but when I actually got to it, I ended up just standing in the same spot the entire time while shooting soul arrows at it until it died. :P Oh well, that didn't really bother me though cause I thought Demon's Souls was amazing nonetheless, and the best game of 2009 and one of my favorite games this generation.

Although I loved both games Uncharted 1 and 2 didn't test you much with the final bosses. Don't think I died once on my first try on either if them.

FFX's final boss was a huge joke. Legend of Mana's final boss, as much as I love the game, was disappointing as well. I will also say FF7's REAL final boss was a joke too, because the boss before him was just epic. Kingdom Hearts' 2 final boss was just a mishmash of preordained button presses, but the means of getting to him was epic, however.

Dark Void , I know most of the people didnt like it but its a pretty sweet game for me and I really hated that last boss. He was like something that came out of God of war or DMC , totally not meant fot this game

Uncharted 2: Fantastic game, one of the best I've ever played. However, the final boss was a massive let down. It was a decent fight, but it felt like they couldn't actually come up with an idea for the final boss. The scene afterwords with the bridge though. That made up for it in my opinion. Also, it's better than Uncharted 1's final boss. . .

Uncharted: This guy was a douche. There's nothing else to say about it. You kill his henchmen and continue to the next part of the ship. The bad part is, you can not kill him before the last scene, which led to some seriously unnecessary deaths. Also, he has a shotgun, with a lazer attached. Really? And furthermore, that said lazer will be trained on your head, even when you're behind cover and moving. This guy was the ultimate aimbot and deserved his quicktime event death. /rant

Gears of War 2: Played through the game with a friend on co-op at his house. Got to the final scene. Expected something awesome. Got the biggest joke of a boss the world's ever seen. I can't even begin to describe how dumb it was.

Assassin's Creed 2: If I remember correctly, I think you fight him three times. The first is well thought out and brought characters together in a massive duel. The second was interesting, in the way it was implemented. The last is a joke and I don't know why the developers felt it made the game better. That fist fight was just bad.

On the other hand games with amazing final bosses include:

Ganondorf in Wind Waker. Awesome sword fight. Just awesome. This game was cartoony, light hearted and had charm. And yet, it's final sword fight to the death is superior in everyway to the grittier Twilight Princess (which was still a good final boss). It also had the best death scene ever.

Metal Gear Solid 4: If you thought that two old guys fighting at the top of a ship was the dumbest idea ever, you were wrong. Amazingly coreographed. Amazing music. Amazing conclusion. It was too epic for words. Not to mention I beat this at midnight, it added to the excitement :D.

Dude the last boss of Shadow of the colossus was the most epic thing ever. Including the music that went along with it.

When you see the Final Boss to FFXIII you'll be epicly disappointed but the music makes up for it. I choose Fable 2 for having the worst Final Boss battle ever along with the crappy ending that comes after.

Assassin's Creed II. That final "boss" was a disgrace. It was so much easier than the fights from even Prince of Persia, and you can't even die in that game.

I played Gears 1 and 2 back to back and Holy **** Gears 2 was a letdown of a final boss.

I kinda agree with KHII final boss. It wasn't bad, but compare to the last couple previous battles(especially the one before it), it kinda felt weak. And that last button sequence was just horrible.

Dragon Age: Origins....the Archdemon was probably one of the easiest bosses in the game.

Gears 2: seriously, all you do is fire hammer of dawn for 2 secs, Berserkers in Gears 1 were harder to kill than that Brumak. That whole last chapter was a joke. It would be fine as a second to last chapter and then go on foot at the end, but no you run around like a god with insta-kill and then fight your transport. Wow, wtf??? Raam eats Brumaks for breakfast

Resistance 2: Daedulus was a joke, but becoming a cloven with the hands of death in an escape was awesome. R2's boss battles were all pretty lame because they telegraphed it with weapon placement

RE5: This had to be the least coherent sequencing for a boss battle ever.

Now if want an awesome boss battle you should go play KZ2 especially on Veteran or Elite. Radec and his minions are a pain to take down, but it was totally epic taking down that many Helghast, especially since Rico is useless.

I can't believe I'm saying this but...

Mass Effect, the conversation right before the final boss with Saren was pure bliss though. Very good voice acting. And breaking him free of Sovereign's control and having him kill himself. Was also pretty epic.

I happen to think infamous had one of the best final bosses this gen. I remember starting the fight and getting manhandled, it took me a few tries to get my bearings but once I actually found a ryhthm I enjoyed it throughly.

Batman: AA and Bioshock

Edit: I almost forgot Dead Space! That game had the worst final boss fight this generation if you ask me.

halo 3. how did zero puncuation put it? a cross eyed hobbit in a wheelchair? guilty spark was pathetic. even if he could actually kill you, it would be sad. why couldn't we fight gravemind instead?

Assassin's Creed 2. All I had to do was grab the guy, punch him 3 times, he'd land on the ground, then grab him again. Rinse and repeat. I laughed pretty hard though! A good rent too, way better than the first.-RocBoys9489-
