Just sounds like they're pissed about not getting the hardware early enough. I see no industry meltdown for consumers unless there really is something wrong with the hardware. I don't think that's the case, it's probably due to availability.

If they cant get enough units for journalists given its a console launch, I doubt Sony is able to make enough for all pre-orders, shortages incoming me thinks!

This is one of the people criticizing sony just now defending m$ on their drm polices!

All I see to be understanding is reviewers are mad they aren't getting free PS4's sent to their homes.

Why are lem's pulling reliability stuff out of thin air? The very people they're quoting have stated "This will have a nominal effect on you as a consumer", doesn't sound like reliability to me.

If the worst news about the PS4 is a load of reviewers have to go to an event to see a few features then i'll be more than happy. At least it isn't the games that are getting gimped down to 720p.

I've seen the issue first hand this weekend, when i saw the PS4 myself!

They had it for two bloody days in the store and theeeen.... it died. - You try playing Call of Duty Ghosts on a dead console, see how many HD pixels you get out of that!

PS4 is rushed and broken, end of observation.

@TheEroica: I swear I was just saying the same thing last night. I was in Gamestop and it looks like people would be willing to pay double to get these consoles before Christmas.

@Greatness05: it's been on my mind for a while... Even before the watchdogs/drive club delays (they were my two most anticipated). It feels like the ps4 is going to be the buzz gift this holiday and the profits could get me the ps4 a few months from now and some money towards a pc to boot. Don't care what anyone says, the launch is hype and never delivers the best product...

More bad news is coming for the Sony fans and it will affect the demand for PS4s in a negative way and will also increase the demand for XBox Ones.

funny, that same exact Tweet from Adam Sessler was used to bash the Xbox One and even though it didn't say it, it was sourced for being a Tweet bashing game review embargoes for X1 games, now it's equally being taken out of context again in the exact opposite way to attack the PS4... maybe people should actually check the source's sources before buying into what some person posts or Tweets

i mean, I'm gonna ask for it for XMas. I have no qualms about that decision. And I'll probably get it. I do not live in an urban area. My parents/Santa Claus can probably just go to one of the many outlets available and pick one up no problem. But buying the Xbox One on Day One just got a whole lot realer the past week or so. Drive Club delayed, required day one update, and now a stance that conflicts with their "open arms" strategy and potential hardware issues.

With all of this bad news along with the piss poor lineup, it's going to be a while before I consider purchasing a PS4.

I gotta admit, while both 1080p and 64 players would be ideal, I'd rather have the 64 at 720 or 900 than 24 at 1080p. Actually, between 60 frames a second and resolution, frames for me would win out every damn time.

So what's the verdict here? From reading through most of the tweets and such it sounds like Sessler is upset about the inability to post PS4 reviews without taking some additional steps. Some how, that has turned into more rumors about reliability and the like. At any rate, for the most part it sounds like it will effect journalist more then consumers.

Wonder Woman grins as the possibility of bad news for ps4, is nothing more than whiney journalists, and lems curse Sessler for leading them on.

I dont care about resolutions so much with consoles. Both PS4 and Xbone will have games that look better than their previous consoles, that's all that matters to me.
