Looks like metal gear solid series is the better choice. I also picked it. I remember playing Baldurs Gate games back in the day. Matter of preference really, it's kinda in the realm of apples and oranges. It's a mainstream fast food game type. Less effort, less time invested, more accessible, less learning curve.

haha excellent sarcasm. Tony hawk was one game that totally didnt deserve a 10. im not saying Baldurs Gate games are bad. They are good games, but when someone is ignorant enough to say that the Metal Gear storylines are kiddy then I tend to shoot them all down with the AAAA MGS4. MGS1 was AA on gamespot, MGS2=AAA, MGS3 got an 8.7 but metal gear solid 3 subsistence got a 9.0, and Metal Gear solid 4 got a 10. I dont think reviewers are magically having a pattern here. Metal Gear solid games are superb.

yep. Hermits are just bitter about being left out in terms of having no AAAA game. it's embarrassing really since the PC has been out for so long and still no AAAA game to show for it. Crysis was their best shot and MGS4 and GTA4 beat it with 10's :D.

I think MG is a little too convoluted for it's own good. I just finished the 3rd chapter, and while what I was watching was awesome, it didn't make an entirely whole lot of sense. Add in GWs, and TCs, and these other AI configurations, and I think Kojima was just trying to complicate things for no reason.

I'd pick Baldur's Gate, but MG is the king of the cutscene, even if I need Wikipedia to fully understand what Kojima is trying to tell me.
