The 360. I think the graphics are sublime and I know Rare can make the game just as good as the previous entries in terms of gameplay. There's nothing wrong with the 360 controller, so I think Banjo suits the console very well.the-very-best
Basically what I was going to say.
Well, had Microsoft never bought Rare, the original members of rare would still be there.....and PDZ wouldn't have sucked (if you think it deserved a 9,0, you are....wow).
Banjo 3? They say they have "key core members" which is PR for "we have a few people from the original team, but no where near everyone". I don't have alot of hope for Banjo 3...
No doubt its alreaady going to the 360.
Played the original Banjo's with a regular controller. Why change whats not broken and go for the wii ?
"but I feel that things like enemy AI, physics and pixel counts are not going to matter all that much"
Why would they not ? They may have not mattered a huge amount back then, but it does now. Why release lack luster game with mediocre AI and graphics when you can truly have a next gen Banjo ?

I'm not saying those things don't matter at all. I'm just saying that ragdoll physics and super intellegent enemies probably won't have a place in this game. In the old BKs the enemies were more of an obsticle than a problem. The environment has always been the challenge of the game. Lastly the Wii can make graphics that are equal to the 360 if they are not photorealistic. Look at Metroid compared to Halo, anyone could tell which one is better but look at Galaxy compared to say(using this one cuz its rare) Viva Pinata or Kameo. Quality wise they are fine because with a cartoony look style is more important than graphical power. No matter how good it turns out, the fact is it will sell poorly on the 360 like other Rare games. It probably won't even sell 1 million which would be very disappointing (no surprise the the only Rare MS game that has is PDZ which is a shooter).Nintendo_ManVP got a 8.3 and Kameo got an 8.7. What are you talking about? PDZ the only Rare MS game?

I thought Viva Pinata sold pretty well or am I mistaken?
this was my biggest disappointment of E3
i thought for sure there would be a new trailer, gameplay, or at least news of Banjo 3
instead we get a new VIVA PINATA!!!! what the F***
that said i think it should be on the 360
the 360 really needs a good platformer
i also think Banjo 1 and 2 should make there way to XBLA i kno id buy 'em

it sold terribly and so will banjo 3. these games don't belong on the 360.[QUOTE="Nintendo_Man"]No matter how good it turns out, the fact is it will sell poorly on the 360 like other Rare games. VP only has around 260,000 copies sold worldwide, Plus the original Banjo Team is working on the third one so I have faith in them and that they won't mess it up.
Here's an interesting question, which console has the most gamers who actually played the original B&K games? Wii owners or 360 owners? (and I suppose manticores and cows are an interesting proposition as well)
I played banjo but not the sequel. I still own the N64 and I'll have to pick it up. Problem is that I can't find it anywhere and whenever I go looking for it I want to play it right away so I dont try looking online cuz I'll have to wait. I own a wii, btw.

Because Banjo Kazooie was NEVER about those things, looks like someone needs a history lesson
I am pretty sure that were Rare still working for Nintendo, Banjo Kazooie would look as good as any of Nintendo's games coming out like Mario Galaxy, if not better. The previous two Banjo Kazooie games were some of the nicer looking N64 games but had pathetic A.I and pretty much non existant physics aside from the egg bouncing. The games were all about fun, with cheesy characters and lame sentences with goofy voices as well as some really cool music and interesting puzzles.

Putting it on the 360 will most likely result in a better quality game.
The Xbox 360 can allow Rare to nearly achieve the CGI trailer shown at X06; it was gorgeous and it wasn't photorealistic. I honestly don't want my Banjo game filled with waggle mini-games, especially when you're trading Pixar-quality visuals for it.project343why would it have minigames in it. i don't this should be a 360 game. no one will buy it, its a shame really. should be on wii/ps3 but what can you do.

That won't happen, Nintendo has publishing rights to all Rare games even though they do not own the rights to any I.P's. The only chance of the Banjo Kazooie games being on XBLA is if Nintendo and Microsoft struck a deal that would allow both companies to distribute the games on their download services, which I think would actually be awesome cause they are so much fun with completely pointless dialog and silly storylines.
I think it's a game suited for Wii, but Rare is part of the evil Microsoft reign, so it will go on 360. Or PC. But most likely no more Banjo though, Rare is notsuch a great dev anymore.Ps2stonyYeah, they suck so bad that the games they have out on 360 scored a 9, 8.7 and an 8.3.
Most lemmings don't care about Banjo-Threeie. It's sad really.Eponique
You're kidding right ? A lot of 360 fans cant wait for Banjo 3.
And at this moment. the poll shows 10 for the wii and 28 for the 360.

not if rare realises how bad it will sell and doesn't put any effort into it. nintendo did alot to help the older ones in development.[QUOTE="GunSmith1_basic"]Here's an interesting question, which console has the most gamers who actually played the original B&K games? lol, that has nothing to do with my post. Plus, why will it be worse on the wii? Because it wont look as nice? It needs online? I doubt it.There might actually be interesting uses for the wiimote in a banjo game. Flying and shooting seeds (or whatever kazooie shoots), obviously. Plus, why was Kazooie so powerful at the end? Banjo was just around for the show by the end

watch it fail at retail.Well, had Microsoft never bought Rare, the original members of rare would still be there.....and PDZ wouldn't have sucked (if you think it deserved a 9,0, you are....wow).
Infinatey
PDZ definitely deserved a 9.0. Just because a game doesn't match your pre-conceived notions about how it should look and feel, does not make it a bad game. PDZ had absolutely fantastic gameplay. Sure, its artstyle was not as cool as the original game, and the story was clearly inferior, but its gameplay was top-notch.
And before you start talking about how I'm a blind lemming or whatever, I actually thought that PDZ sucked when I first tried it. I was too stuck on the differences between it and the first game. Then I returned to it out of boredom one day. I had all ready gotten past any and all expectations I might have, and I realized that the game was actually fantastic.
The gameplay is different than normal shooters. It takes time to get used to, but when you do, it is an amazing experience.

it wasn't bad it didn't deserve to be called the sequel to the best console shooter of its time.[QUOTE="swamprat_basic"][QUOTE="Infinatey"]Well, had Microsoft never bought Rare, the original members of rare would still be there.....and PDZ wouldn't have sucked (if you think it deserved a 9,0, you are....wow).
