I hope some of these early reactions aren't just people trying to fulfill their prophecies that the game looks like butt. I'll check it out when I get home.

Banjo is one of the most beloved characters of old, and to see a -hypothetically speaking- subpar game come out and tarnish the series great legacy would honestly kill me a little inside.

well actually..street fighter 2 on XBLA caused my 360 to RRoD. The download is corrupted for me lol.

I bought it but I can't play it. My HDD doesn't recognize it anymore for some strange reason..

Awesome game lots of variety but just not my thing I wish the game had voice acting but I never played a banjo game before so I guess thtas their thing.

The game felt clunky at first but when you get used to it its smooth sailing.

And the graphics are beautiful easily one of the best this gen.

Really fun demo. Very large levels with great graphics. The vehicles are fun too.

OMG... just played the demo. This game is EPIC. The graphics are pure eye candy in beautiful RARE style. The game world is HUGE and if you walked it, it would take forever which is why the vehicles make so much sense.

The controls are TIGHT, anyone saying the controls suck are flat-out lying about playing the game. The only controls that take getting used to are diving under water, its a lot like in Kameo.

Calling it a racing game implies that you are competing against other vehicles or racing a clock. This accounts for a handful of the minigames. The vast majority of the challenges revolve around building a vehicle that allows you to reach different parts of the levels. That is platforming.

I'm really disapointed in this game.

1. Why no voice acting? Yeah its banjo, but ever since jak 2 I just cant look at a game without it the same. It just feels lazy.

2. Graphics were not as cool as I thought they would be. The other characters in the world look pretty basic. The penguin guys for example. I did notice that in the main town they kind of just appeared out of thing air too when you got close to them.

3. Controls are not tight, that could just be the first vehicle but who knows. Jak 3 and 2 were not solely vehicle based but the controls were tight and responsive, which made those challenges actually fun to play, not here so much.

THings this game will probably get knocked for as far as demo

-No VOice Acting

THrow in Aaron Thomas and you get

- Too Much Variety(like thats a problem in a platformer)
- Identity Crisis(because they switched it up too much)
- Feels too much of the same(guess whats wrong with this)


Either way i had fun with the demo...I still say it will get an 8.5 at best though

Braid was fun but its not in the same league as mario or say the jak/ratchet series.

I knew I wasn't going to get to play those games on 360 but I figured there would be others you know.. like BANJO. Then they pump out this crappy game instead. I'm actually looking forward to replaying a game I had what alomst 10 years ago instead of this. (first banjo obviously)
