My personal impression after 50+ hours of gameplay.
1. The only noteworthy content in this game is its 12-hour main story. Seriously. The rest is just grinding and fillers to hunt for additional skill points. Secondary activities are so uninspired - they lack any meaningful background stories, unlike AC. Without those fillers the game would be bloody short. Don't get me wrong, that 12-hour main story is pretty good, the entire game is kinda designed to rush you through it, because nothing else, meaningful and important happens. Secondary activities are just pure grinding:
I think it's no spoilers just to mention those because they have almost no background stories behind them, so you risk really little by checking them:
and some 6 more secondary quests with a very similar designs.
LAME.
2. No boss fights. Almost all interactions with villains are through cut scenes.
3. Villains are f*cking annoying. They are not witty, they don't tease Batman or make fun of him like in AC, but they just whine all the time their really tiresome threats. "Weh Weh Bitmin you destroyed another our outpist, Bitmin surrender you will never win weh weh" Something like that. Especially Arkham Knight. The only thing he does is just whining via radio all the time instead of confronting Batman, creating impression that both Scarecrow and AK are very insecure, which contrasts a lot with this whole menace they pose. People that have the situation under such a tight control, shouldn't whine that much and make motivational speeches to themselves.
4. Riddler challenges are really uninspired. They are very easy to solve, and usually are straightforward - use a right combination of gadgets, done. But here where frustration comes, most of Riddler chalneges are impossible to find without Riddler's informants. There is no way to detect tiddlers trophies at a distance or see them through walls. AC you can actually locate half of trophies without any help, but not AK. Riddles are just unfairly hidden and you have no tool to find them, and beating Riddlers informants is really boring as they usually appear not even in groups of thugs like in AC, but in groups of 2, maximum 3 thugs.
5. This is very a few amounts of villains in this game, basically just two, AK and Scarecrow, the rest just never get enough attention or background stories to be considered as such. In the entire game I barely found any old face to kick ass of lol. What is more frustrating is that many villains are mentioned in the Riddler's puzzles, and many times you find evidence of their presence, but they never appear in the game. WTF. Don't get me wrong, the other villains ARE present but you interact with them through those grinding secondary activities mentioned in point 1`, you listen to them via the radio, but you never see them for real, a very few exceptions aside. It's not like AC where you meet Cat Woman, Two Face and Calendar Man just in the first 10 minutes of the game.
I don't get where all those 9s come from, because the only meaningful and interesting story in this game is the main 12-hour plot. This game severely loses in content quality to AC.
