and you're going to need a really good and specific argument to claim that BB is better than Dota2 considering that Dota2 is a 10+ year old game with impressive replay value while BB is barely a 12 hour long game.

@skelly34: DoTA 2 is 10 years old? It came out in 2013. And BB is about 20 hours the first play through. That's not counting PvP and chalice dungeons.

They're not noob games but they're on the lower skill spectrum of RTS games. I bet SF4 and Guilty Gear X do have high skill caps. But you're delusional to even try to compare their skill caps to the RTS games. Fighters are still really only comparable to ARTS (the actual name for moba), you still haven't put forth an argument as to why fighters would be considered "higher skill" than mobas would.

lol yes it is. But that's not why it's short. PvP and changing PvE keep a game alive and long. BB PvP is irredeemably terrible, there's not difference between NG+ and your first playthrough and many seem to have gripes with chalice dungeons. I'm comparing them because Dota2 is a higher impact exclusive and will be continuously played, remembered and preserved. Unlike BB.

SC and WC were some of the most popular RTS games around SC2 still is. Fighting games require split second timing and constant anticipation and if you lose you have nobody to blame but yourself.

BB PvP is not terrible, it at least doesn't have a god awful targeting system and extremely oped spell casting. There's also more balance in the armor so everyone doesn't just run around with Havels. I've played every souls game to date and I feel BB is the best.

Will Dota2 last longer? Sure it will it has new shit come out for it every month. BB is still widely played though and will continue to be untill DS3. That doesn't mean it's not an outstanding game.

You keep posting this over and over and over but what are you referring to PS4, Xbox One, Wii U (current console generation) or PC? Because none of them have an overall GotY exclusive on Gamespot but only Wii U and PC have had exclusive titles taking platform specific game of the year.

Or does only PS3 count in this because Xbox 360 never had an exclusive GotY on Gamespot either.

Watching the Angry Joe rant on this was weird for me. I haven't had one crash on mine since I got it. Is it an AMD thing?

I've not had any major running problems either but I'm on nVidia as well. I actually got the game running fairly well at 60'ish fps, 1440p motion blur and DoF switched off in a fairly short time.

Absolutely bugger all I could do to for the low res textures though. It makes me laugh when I see WB calling the shit textures a 'bug', they're only 1k. High res texture bug, my arse.

@GarGx1: The PS3 had more GoTY awards given then any platform last gen if you take into account all media outlets. The PS4 and X1 have a little over a full year of games. But at the end of the gen it will most likely be consoles that win most the awards.

Also if PS3 games getting overall GotY awards still count then surely all Gamespot GotY awards count, therefore PC has the same amount of exclusive overall games of the year as PS3, i.e. 3.

@GarGx1: No it doesn't, PC didn't receive any exclusive goty awards last gen here at GS. It's relevant only when morons bring up the "Standards" argument.

I think I might just skip this one entirely. I was going to wait for the GOTY Edition anyways, but the way WB has handled this game and it's release has been nothing short of embarrassing. And gamers are just eating it up.

@AM-Gamer: I didn't say PC got awards last gen, I said PC has the same amount of awards from Gamespot as PS3 in total, which are a relevant as PS3 awards are now. Is it too difficult to understand, that if you want to use old awards then you have to accept that all old awards count and there can not be a time limit attached to that.

We are currently in the 8th generation of consoles, everything before 8th gen is now old.

-Fix for low resolution texture bug

-Improve overall performance and framerate hitches

-Add more options to the graphics settings menu

-Improvements to hard drive streaming and hitches

-Address full screen rendering bug on gaming laptops

-Improvements to system memory and VRAM usage

-NVIDIA SLI bug fixes

-Enabling AMD Crossfire

-NVIDIA and AMD updated drivers

Warner claims, that Rocksteady is now leading its “team of developers and partners as we work on the PC performance issues that players have been encountering.”

It's playable for me, but it's not as enjoyable as it could be. Only paid 46 bucks for it, so meh.
