I think we can all agree that Arkham City has the best combat system this gen.

I haven't seen it either, but I've seen snippets and friends/family tell me it's good.
And yeah, Downey's the best thing to happen to Marvel, he's the definitive Tony Stark. It's actually up there as one of my favorite action movies of all time. I just love the quirky dialogue and over-the-top action.

Written by Joss Whedon. Of course there's gread quirky dialogue.:P And yeah. I couldn't imagine Tony Stark with any other face now.

Glad someone else loved Dark Messiah. I can't find my old copy of it, and I've been thinking about buying it again, on Steam. Do you know if anyone still plays online?

Have you even played it?
Yes, I never finished it thoe because I disliked the game as a whole.[QUOTE="timmy00"]It's just a random pic I found while googling Samurai Warriors. Thought I resized it a bit to make it a decent sig. lol

Nope, it's as dead as it gets.
Damn. Well i may still get it. I got one friend who has it. Maybe we'll just duel each other repeatedly until the community comes back. haha. takin it back.
I feel like a hipster because I preferred Arkham Asylum over AC. I love both, but AS was just more enjoyable for some reason. I think it's because the story felt more cohesive; I guess because it was more linear. Lethalhazard
I agree that the story was a bit better in AA, but there was just so much more going on, gameplay-wise, in AC. I loved just flying around the city, beating people up. So open. So awesome.
i think we can all agree that whenever someone says "i think we can all agree", it'll be followed by something that quite a few people will disagree. I think we can agree that those people are simply wrong!![QUOTE="JangoWuzHere"]

AC was pretty great but AA is the better game by far for me.
ACs environment just felt kinda forced. Wen you are playing AA you feel like: Yeah that happend to Batman. Wen you are playing AC you're like: They kinda made all this up for the game.
Also didn't care at all for the side missions in AC in which you have no clue what to do. I mean, for example I was looking for freeze's wife after some thugs said she was in a van for 2 hours and I just went "f*ck it".Refused to look it up on the net because I hate to do that and just never did the mission.
I'd say it is. Of all the games I played this gen, ArkhamCity is the one I'd feel most comfortable with giving a perfect 10/10 score. It's truely outstanding and brilliant in every way. Game Developers should be looking at Rocksteady and Retro Studios as role models.
I thought so, but I feel that the game unfairly loses respect just because it's not exclusive. It easily stands up to ANY exclusive this gen imo.
There's so much detail, it's so well thought out, paced out, the story, graphics are all amazing.

Hell yeah it is. It really is just amazingly fun to play. And with great graphics, to boot. Good looking everywhere, and especially maxed out PC version, with the Physx enabled... just one of the best looking games anywhere right now.
Have to agree. It was very very well done in almost all departments. One of the only flaws I felt it had was the inability to glide from the tower to the rest of Arkham City, even though it was basically being rendered.
I actually got bored. :Svitonemesis
Same. The world is dull as f*ck, it's so empty and sterile, apart from the same identicle group of thugs scattered throughout. The Villains are boring, and poorly written, the gameplay is repetitive. It's a decent game with tons of polish, but I just can't see why people would find it so amazing. :?
Ive been playing it for the past week and it just gets better and better, one of the most satisfying experiences and amongst my all time favourite. The combat is do damn fun, once you get into a flow it's like poetry. And watching Catwoman slow walk is a sight to be hold, best walk animation ever! :D
I dare say its the best superhero game this gen and Infamous is right after it.johny300
No need to dare, it's a pretty safe bet that Arkham games are indeed the best super hero games and not only this gen.

Sure add six months to a year of extra development time and you can have that.I finished it only recently with most side quests and loads of riddle trophies and secrets. I enjoyed it a lot and felt it is a refreshing take on superhero games and open world games .. It is definitely one of the best games there :)
One thing though, I see a lot of people are praising the combat; While I agree that the combat is good, I found it a bit repetitive for the most part of the game, except for fighting boss battles which were awesome. Also, the ending wasn't something to talk about IMO.
