Really hope the game has an engine that can replicate concept art, like that last screenshot
Rocksteady has been pretty solid at visuals especially for open world games. Solely going PS4/Xbox1/PC for this I can only imagine they'll have some horsepower behind the engine.
Such a big fan of these games. Really thought the first two were goty the years they came out. Liked origins, not as good, but not nearly as bad as gamers cry it is, imo. So psyched for this game. If I do get the new gaming PC, I'll be getting it on that.

It's quite exciting. Did you run into any game breaking bugs in Origins? What did you think about it?
i hope this uses UE4 and not UE3

Epic started licensing the engine in may of 2012. A very short time after AC released. If they are i'm assuming Rocksteady went right into PP with the game and waited for the engine license.
They also said expect the first batch of UE4 games to start coming in the fall.

Should be amazing, on PC that is.

They seem to think that the CGI trailer is actual in game footage... Rocksteady have only said it's an updated Unreal Engine (Said no number) that they are using.

The new Fable game on Xbox One is using UE4 I believe.

They've said themselves their using an updated Unreal Engine. Nothing about UE4. For all we know it's just heavily modifed UE3 again. Would be nice to have it UE4 though
New info too
- You can call on the batmobile mid-glide by targeting a spot you want it to drive to
- The Batmobile pretty much affects everything you hit in some fashion, not just certain walls
- You use L2 mid-glide to use the line launcher
- The use of gadgets while gliding produces a slo-mo sequence
- The batmobile has a boost function
- The boost function refuels when you drift around corners
- Rocksteady isn't talking about whether or not you can upgrade it
Feels like they would have said if it was UE4 by now as that is a pretty cool marketing thing. In practice I find people care way too much about what engine games are running on, if it's a new or an updated one etc. I mean the visual difference between the first Gears Of War and Arkham Knight will be way bigger than Assassin's Creed:Revelation vs AC3. Nothing prevents you from adding fancy new visual effects to an old engine.
Really disappointed that it's using a modified ue3 still. character models are sex but I'm afraid the world design will suffer for it.

Link, just for curiosity's sake
@seanmcloughlin: So badass. I'm huge batman fan, so I get a fan stiffy when I hear about all this stuff. I wish I had more time to read all the comics and novels though :(

I believe it was mentioned in the Game Informer article. Although I haven't picked up my issue yet so I could be misinformed.
Nice!! I hope they include different batmobile skin's like the tumbler or the original tv batmobile that would be awesome.

You know, I never did. It played smooth for me. Multiplayer a little dip in FPS but campaign, no. I really liked it. One part of the story was just tired, imo. I wont say anything to spoil. But the combat was great, seemed like a slight difference in timing from AC. A lot of things to collect, and the fast travel to each region is a good addition. Its a 7-8 game, where as AA and AC were 9-10, imo.
Hope my 680 gtx can handle this still, otherwise i'll jsut have to plop in a second one and sli that biotch.
not as good, but not nearly as bad as gamers cry it is...
Nothing ever is. I've played quite a few games like that. Disappointing? Yes. But as bad as some of the internet crusades that I've seen?
Not even close.
Hell, if you go by what you read from people on the internet, a 7/10 is a gaming death sentence!!
And honestly, it does nothing to make me excited about the game.
The only reason I'd ever play it is because Rocksteady know how to make a game that focuses on player experience and tight, refined gameplay.
Visually, so long as a game has a distinct art style that sets it apart from the other dull games out there, and runs at a playable framerate (that doesn't hamper the gameplay) I couldn't care less about the graphics fidelity. Art and atmosphere has always immersed me in a game's world, not fancy shaders.
That said, I'll likely be getting this on PC when it comes out.
