Art and atmosphere has always immersed me in a game's world, not fancy shaders.
Fancy shaders, if used properly, can do a lot to enhance the art and atmosphere.
Just sayin...

But without the foundational art and atmosphere (generated mostly by sound design and music), fancy graphics won't do anything.
The Oracle of this game looks exactly the same as the one from the crappy show Birds of Prey.
I remember watching some promos from Batgirl (from when I didn't know she was the Oracle) and getting really excited and then when I watched the show I dropped it after like 3 episodes because it was so bad. She only appeared in a couple of flashbacks and the rest was with the daughter of Wayne and Catwoman and it was soooo boring. Like seriously, the best part of the show were the few flashback of Batman, Batgirl and Joker.
Im done falling for PR bullshots , I hope the game manages to look like this but how many times must we get caught with our hand in the cookie jar.
A lot but rocksteady does deliver however.
i hope this uses UE4 and not UE3

Epic started licensing the engine in may of 2012. A very short time after AC released. If they are i'm assuming Rocksteady went right into PP with the game and waited for the engine license.
They also said expect the first batch of UE4 games to start coming in the fall.

They seem to think that the CGI trailer is actual in game footage... Rocksteady have only said it's an updated Unreal Engine (Said no number) that they are using.
Link, just for curiosity's sake
I'll try and find it. I'm sure it was in the Game Informer or Playstation UK Magazine.

Sounds good!
Ya I'm playing arkham asylum right now and even that game is gorgeous. Running it at 1440p highest settings and damn I didn't realize the pc version was actually a good port. Glad I got it and the one before it , got them both for $10 One hell of a deal for two amazing games.
