Battlefield 2 (PC) is miles ahead of every other shooter out there...

Graphically it IS a bit dated, but after playing a few rounds today after not having played the game for months, I was reminded just HOW far ahead of the rest of the Online Shooter market BF2 is.

I'm not including 2142 because it's essentially BF2 with a new game mode and a new art direction.

Battlefield 2 has an incredible amount of depth. The commander system has amazing features that can really level the playing field, as well as offering huge strategic advances. The use of vehicles has NEVER been done as successfully in any other online game. The class system manages to create huge depth and variety, while remaining fairly balanced.

 Although on the surface it just appears to be "just another tactical FPS", once you get into it you'll find that (from a gameplay perspective) it's far more advanced than any other game out there. Everything about the game, from the weapon modelling to the Commo Rose just seems to fit perfectly.

well, i love bf2, one of my favs and i agree that it is lightyears ahead of most console shooters but ur kinda ignoring the fact that counter strike and day of defeat exist, as well as ut2004

 i like cs the best cause of all the mods, but bf2 is a close second, zombie mod ftw

CS is awesome, I agree, I love CS, but I mean in terms of depth and complexity BF2 trumps it.

CS definitely takes more skill, but it's gameplay is a lot more simplistic.

As for UT2004, that game has such a hardcore fanbase that it makes me cry :cry:

i still agree with wut u sed but really its the core gameplay in cs that makes it superior, as for ut2004 i am not a huge fan but i do like it and i think its good

Battlefield 2 suffers from heavily unbalanced gameplay. I still go back every six months or so... but it is not the best online shooter. That is reserved for Day of Defeat.foxhound_fox

Havent played Battlefield 2 on PC,but I still think Soldier of Fortune is a better PC shooter multiplayer wise:D.(Put tons of hours into that game.) I also think I would like Rainbow 6(360) and GRAW(360) multiplayer better.But,I havent played it on PC,I just know I didnt like that much on 360.killab2oo5

I liked BF2 a lot. Too bad it suffers with more problems than even GeOW's multiplayer (i still love both).

 I didn't like it at all, same stuppid CS but with tanks and commander.

 Stick to X360 GRAW multiplayer, that's a real stuff

I support. I like skilled fast paced FPS multiplayer like Q3 or realistics team tactics like X360 GRAW where one bullet kill you.

Get Garry's Mod and play Zombie  Survival, it's a lot better then CS's zombie mods. Alhough there's only like 1 server and crashes a bit too often, the gameplay is awesome.

I also don't like games in the middle, which is why when I want realism and tactics I play Armed Assault, not the arcadish GRAW

 X360 GRAW is same as first Ghost Recon. The only one not too good thing about it - single player was made by Ubisoft and due to this it's suffer from linearity and some  scripts involved. Co-op and multiplayer was made by Red Storm.

 Can't see how Flashpoint "less arcadish"
